This is a video review of the Balila Wireless Lavalier Microphone
Some thoughts about this lavalier:
First impression when I just received it was good! The mic set comes in a nice carrying case and inside each unit has its own compartment.
► How to make it work?
Remove the units from the case, put the cables into the slots, turn them on and connect the receiver to to your device, in my case is Iphone.
It is simple as that!
► Build quality?
Good, the units are lightweight you cannot even feel while wearing the senders and the size of the receiver is relatively small.
How do you know if they are pairing or not?
It is very easy, when one of the senders is on you should see a blue light on the receiver, then, when the other one is on there is a green light on the receiver. That is all, simple to understand.
► Battery life?
Based on my experience it lasts for 2-3h which is enough considering the size of the units. Takes around 2 h to fully charge. There is a battery indicator on the units, full 3 lines, 1 line low and when there is no line you know you have to charge them.
► You will see that the units have different frequencies while being on which prevents the interferences. There are 20 channels you can choose from based on your needs.
► Sound quality?
For the price paid I say it is very good, I am pleased with that. Considering this is a budget set of lav mic the sound is crisp and clear.
Suggestion, don't place the mic to close to your mouth, I would recommend leave around 20- 25 cm gap to get the best results.
Not, in term of distance, the manual says 80 m, didn't try that far but I have tried around 30 m and works fine, all good(see the video).
►Something else to add over here, I have used it a couple of time with my DSRL camera and it works fine.
Now, overall experience with this set?
A good one, considering the price range and the fact that it has 2 senders, it is brilliant set and I recommend this to anyone.
