Keep in mind if you do buy a coilover system and go for a good drop for the wheels you just purchased in this list, you will need toe arms to keep the toe in spec. Further more you might need some camber to tuck your tire if you’re a stance guy ,so a set of lower control arms need to be in there as well. Also if you go for the 18in he mentioned in this list rather than a 17 you will also need tires. If you go for a 17 it’s cheaper and the tires come straight over from your stock set. I personally went with a 17 for the exact reason that my tires come straight over and with some camber and a good drop for the car you don’t even notice the difference if you tuck some tire. Thanks for reading, and I hope I helped a little!

2:15 about drilling holes in your bumper -- I opted (actually the dealer sent me a forum post about it) to mount the front plate using neodymium magnets. You use 3M automotive glue to stick them to the inside of the bumper and in the screw holes on the factory plate mount. Took a couple hours to install but was not too complicated. And you get a removable front plate solution with no holes.

You need to do a "Ballin on a budget- *******" series. Every week, pick something like "Ballin on a budget - Coilovers under $800". Where you showcase options on your website and show how they look installed and what pros/cons/challenges you face with each. I think you'd sell a lot more of the cheap coilovers if you'd de-mystify them to show people they at least work/fit. This works for anything budget. After that, "Ballin on a budget - interior parts under $150" and show a variety of pieces installed that cumulatively show a finished interior one install at a time. Also, do more turbo/supercharger "what's in the box" type stuff, it's fun.

I think it’d be super cool if you guys did a budget build with local stuff people are selling, and have a budget of 3k. Just find a random person on here or a local guy and make their year? I notice people sell wheels so much cheaper than they’re bought for once they’re not new or lightly scratched. That’s a good deal on the lowering springs I guess. I’m afraid that drop will make hard for my local shop to service my car though. The white line seem to be just under an inch but now I’m thinking where is the sweet spot? Maybe 1.2”? Any springs at one inch drop that don’t ride like ass? Be honest I have a 2.5 hour commute everyday so I need stock like ride but don’t wanna pay a lot either. Yeah I know I’m being that guy . Good and cheap don’t exist but hey you gotta ask

3:56 I don't recommend this. Muffler deletes will gurantee droning around 1.8-2.4k rpm and its going to be unbearable. I did it before and the droning gets irritating on highways. I recommend just saving up for a proper muffled axleback that'll make your car louder and eliminate drone.

next video, how to be slammed without breaking your axles
@MrTROLLYOURFACE
@MrTROLLYOURFACE 4 жыл бұрын
Christopher Hernandez as long as you add camber with your drop the angle for your axle will only be stressed on the diff side which makes it much more reliable. Slamming the car and keeping your camber more positive means the axle will over bend on both sides and you’re sentencing it to die.

I want to get the MXP comp RS exhaust but, living in LA, cops can be tight with a sports car with a loud exhaust, so I also want to get a cutout valve to make it loud/ quiet on command. The exhaust system is a catback so would it still be possible to install the cutout valve? If so, would it affect the sound of the exhaust system in any way?

Not related to the vid - but is it possible, when wanting to downshift, you don’t need to rev by slowing letting off the clutch? I have a friend who owns a Focus ST and that’s what he does in his car
@alexc9361
@alexc9361 4 жыл бұрын
Midnight Dusk This is a bit harder on your clutch typically but at low rpms such as street driving, it’s completely fine and what most people do. Slowly let off the clutch and give it some throttle just like launching the car. If you go to a road course, you will 100% want to heel and toe for several very important reasons, for handling, reduced lap times, and safety.

I would do full exhaust, cold air intake along with a ECUTEK tune for the most power on a NA engine. If your car is not a daily and you have E85 available, then you can add flex fuel.
@xxmonkeyxxmf
@xxmonkeyxxmf 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks guys. I already did a full exhaust and drop in air filter. You saying I should replace the whole air box with a CAI? That would need me to retune due the MAF sensor would be throwing cel right? I never thought about ecutune due to i wasnt planning to add force induction. Hence i went the oft route. Can oft tune with the CAI? I’m not really a race/speed type person. And e85 is hard to get where i am and this is my daily too. I guess my next upgrade on the list is suspension and wheels since i maxed out on engine.

Don’t bother swapping the air box for a CAI... if your goal is just pulling more power from the NA motor that’s just a waste of money. You really have two options remaining that will make a difference: e85 and weight reduction
