Grizz fan that has the highest respect for Dirk. We still have Vince Carter, but Dirk is truly the last of a dying breed. You never heard anything bad about him off the court, never threw his team mates under the bus, just an overall wonderful human being from my eyes. It was an absolute honor seeing him in person one last time when the Grizzlies were in Dallas (yes I live here despite being a grizz fan). I know the mavs will take care of Dirk after retirement, but he truly deserves everything good coming toward him in life. An absolute legend, hands down, 1st ballot hall of famer. 👏🏻#41👏🏻

Man, Dirk is one of the best. One legged fade-away is just amazing. A center that can shoot from anywhere. he really changed the game. I think he is one of the reasons why most teams in the NBA looked for a center that can shoot Js and 3s. Most importantly, spread the floor. He really changed the game to where it is now. With his long hair, running back and forth on that court makes him look like a wild stallion out there. Perfect for the Mavericks team. A true Maverick. He really did played it the right way.

Just have the biggest respect for the guy. Dirk Nowitzki embodies everything a basketball player should be, hard working and doesn't complain about his teammates and he takes charge when he needs to and he is a good teammate and leader, Dirk could have went to another organization and took his talents elsewhere but he stayed with the Mavericks and got them a championship and an MVP and I don't think he got near enough credit or praise by the press for what a player he was. A guy like Dirk will be missed by many but he deserves the best in retirement and whatever lies ahead, God bless you Dirk.
