Theo Rossi recently wrapped shooting Zach Snyder’s Netflix feature ARMY OF THE DEAD with Dave Bautista and the lead role in the independent feature DEAR ZOE directed by Gren Wells. Theo played the fan favorite role of ‘Shades’ for two seasons on the hit Marvel Netflix series LUKE CAGE opposite Mike Colter and Alfre Woodard. Theo can most recently be seen in the independent feature VAULT starring opposite Samira Wiley and Clive Standen. Previously, Theo was seen in the highly anticipated Imagine / Telemundo feature LOWRIDERS opposite Demian Birchir, in theaters May 2017. Theo grew a large fan base as one of the stars of the hit FX series SONS OF ANARCHY, where he starred opposite Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman as the series bad ass 'Juan Carlos Juice Ortiz'. SONS was the highest rated show on FX with over 10 million viewers a week with playback last season. In 2015, Theo also produced his first film with Emma Tillinger the independent feature BAD HURT which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival.

The women on SOA RAN that club from the sidelines. Gemma was the one calling 99% of the shots from beginning to almost the end. She let Clay and Jax think that it was their idea, but she was pulling the strings all the way back to when JT and Clay started the club. Then you think of Tara, Wendy, Lyla, Luann, Donna- the women behind the men. Even the "bad guy" women like Imma, Stahl, and Margaret were just badass. One of the funniest things happened to me. I was at the hospital to get an X-RAY early in the AM. I was in my SOA Detroit Charter hoodie, and a little old lady in her late 70's early 80's was waiting too, and she asked me if there was a branch of the club in Detroit. I said no, it was just a fan shirt for a TV show and she replied "Oh I have seen that show, isn't that Jax Teller a handsome man". You could have knocked me over with a feather because she was 100% a grandma but still enjoyed the show. That shows what a great screen writing team you had, it makes grandma's be willing to enter the lives of a 1% Bike Club and stay there for 7 seasons!

The one thematic aspect that you guys missed about this episode that I've HOPED that you would mention; the events that happened to Gemma that was meant to *BREAK* the club, ended up healing them. Zobelle had his crew assault Gemma in order to hurt and break the structure in SOA, but instead Gemma had hidden the assault until there was no other option than to turn this completely shitty negative into a positive. THAT was the most powerful part of this episode that got to me. All of the drama and tension had built up to this crescendo of a shitstorm, and instead of things collapsing upon itself, had unraveled and had been focused on the centerpoint of all of that tension. Such an amazing show and I can watch it again and again.

In some ways, I see Juice's story as the saddest -- he slowly drifts from 'fun-loving man child' to 'disillusioned no-longer-innocent' to 'keeper of the dark secrets.' Many of the Sons fall from grace, but his is somehow worst.

When you guys are talking about the John Teller voice overs, I think season 6 it started to be Jax doing a voice over for his journal to his sons, rather than John's journal to Jax.

I can only agree about Tommy he is such a good actor. I think it's a shame that not many people know him because he does exactly what real actors do. he brings all his thoughts and emotions into the scenes. Only through the movement of his eyes can the spectator know what he is feeling and thinking about the scene when he told the police where the guns are. He couldn't look at her, you know that because his eyes move right and left BUT never at her!!! This episode says a lot not only about the character of Chibs but also a lot about Tommy Flanagan who played Chibs. After watching SOA he became my favorite actor. I could not only listen to him for hours but also watch him acting for hours ❤️

I could go on and on with the things I have loved about this particular episode. It was the first one that I watched with the hubbs when it aired, then again the next day with him at work and the kiddos in school, then again with the hubbs that night, because we both felt all the raw emotion just like we were in it, too. These were our family members; that was our mother, sister, our rock. From the fluidity of other aspects of the episode coming full-circle, (as Gemma is finally letting go of her truth) just as the two of you spoke on here, to the masterfully elegant way it flows from Katie. Each new word she says, forming the next piece in the story of that night, in depths with which we found ourselves pulled in and cradling this family in our arms, holding them to our hearts; this goddess of a character is also lovingly holding us!❤ The burden of this heinous happening had been hers! And even still she has us captivated by her strength as a woman, but ultimately has captured our love and reverence for her by way of courage through sheer vulnerability. She is a formidable, self-made wall before this, one nothing could ever break in our eyes. She reveals this trauma to her son and her husband by initially coming clean about the wreck being a lie, and continues calmly with only the key details that follow. Yes, the audience, as do Jax and Clay, need to hear it at this time; now. It will halt Jax's nomad decision and what's just transpired at church; it's the only skeleton left to unveil - the last remaining, but necessary, nugget of truth capable of quashing this Pres/VP shit right now.. etc.. it was obvious to us all. But what has always kept me coming back to this episode, and this scene, was how she kept her tone consistent, and then she gives the info in such a way that Clay and Jax quietly know they can trust it. That without a doubt, this crime committed against her had been intended to hurt them all. That it 100% was Zobel and Weston's doing. And our enemy Zobel's been trying to seem clean and legit in Charming, but by utilizing his own daughter in the violence, he's hit a point of no return in this place. The actual reveal of it at this precise moment quickly transformed from Gemma protecting her family and keeping Jax and the club intact, into a most poetic breaking down of her walls; a kind of 'balm' that's instantly covering and healing them from all that's injured us of Season 2. She wouldn't even verbalize that she's been gang raped until the very end of it. Three reasons: Hers - it's not something she'll ever be ok with happening to her; it spotlights her vulnerability, to herself, even if only to herself. We saw how she'd been jumped, outnumbered, chained up.. yet to her it will always reflect an unfavored internal weakness. Second: now that the secret's to be told, she will air it, BUT remain steadfast in the significance of the happening and NOT as it pertains HER! Rather, how it explains our current adversary, Zobel/the League, and more importantly, how it affects the club - her FAMILY. Lastly: she knows her son and her husband better than they know themselves and she always will. Leaving the rape info until the end, for me personally, was her most profound and true act of selflessness in the entire series. It gave Jax the chance for a reverent gesture of respect for his mother that is Christ-like; we witness then a brief yet unspoken apology toward Clay, an unabashed snatching back of his patch, and the space enough left for a solid exit point, supported by Tara. Which finds us in the best possible moment in sequention, allowing a protective layer of Clay to come before her much the same, and in close to begin the unrequested but long-overdue comfort we ALL have been aching to see fulfilled for our loyal and beloved matriarch. This scene was perfection. ❤ It never seems self-serving or self-righteous at all for Gemma. It develops like only the magic of real divine intervention could possibly ever birth. Kurt nailed the writing. Katie nails the delivery. Director flexes genius during and in post-production. I'm sorry to have gotten 'winded' here but honestly, I'm still in awe of it to this day. THIS, Theo & Kim... Tig & Juice, THIS is why, that even after Gemma returns to her unpredictable, pushy, reactionary shit, even after she brutally murders our hero's first and only true love.. THIS is why we all still deeply love, respect, root for, and continue to idolize the beautifully brazen creature that was Gemma Teller-Morrow. 🌹🖤🥀🖤💔

The voice of John Teller was Nicholas Guest he was last used in Season 3 in Blaine, when the barn blew up, and you saw JT walking towards Jax after the explosion. Onscreen the photo was Victor Newmark (he is in the First. 9 photo) but when he was used in background scenes fans thought JT faked his death. When fans saw Lincoln Potter for the first time lots of fans thought he was JT.

I have to agree that Ally Walker is also a great actor. She did such a great job that I believed she was this villain that you just hate.. So much so that I struggled to separate her from her character in SOA. I just finished watching Longmire and I kept waiting for her "TRUE" evil self to come out in that show. Just shows how great she is and how great the creators, writers, and directors are in these shows. Also wanted to say that I'm loving these #ReaperReviews....

Watching again. I'm really enjoying watching this. Can't wait until next week. I believe Chibs called him Jax Jackie Boy in the beginning of the series. I also think Tommy Flangen created Jackie Boy. Can't wait to watch more next week.

Amazing commentary on the last great show on tv. This is literally Shakespeare’s Hamlet but for the 21st century and nothing could’ve been better than what we got. Might watch it a 4th time now

Theo and Kim, I wasn’t born when sons of anarchy was first aired but this series has brought me so much joy over the years. I remember I watched the season 1 finale a few hours before I left my apartment to meet my fiancé for the first time 2 years ago and I would absolutely LOVE if you guys would review this episode. Keep doing what you are doing, hope you’re keeping safe from all the terrible shit going on in the world and big love to you both

An interesting note you guys made about the JT voiceovers, one thing I am thinking of now is that, In later seasons, there is some Jax voiceovers in the same vein of what he is writing in the notes to his boys.

Great chat! But you’re missing the tiny tidbit that Clay lied to Gemma about trying to work things out with Jax.

One thing I remember from dvd commentary of this episode is that originally the filming of Gemma's confession was only supposed to be the guys reaction. But the dirctor decided to turn the camera around and also get Katy's expressions as she tells her story. I can't imagine not seeing Gemma's expressions. It really makes it that much more heartbreaking to see her saying it, even though Ron, Charlie and Maggie did an amazing time reacting to what Katy's is saying as Gemma.

My first time seeing the scene with tig on mushrooms crying had me laughing because I was a teenager then and didn't really get what was actually going on there. Now that I've done a lot of nshrooms in my life I understand it so much better. He was in the middle of a trip and his emotions and deep thoughts were hitting him like a ton of bricks. He is drowning in guilt from killing Donna and I can't imagine being on mushrooms after doing something like that. Now when I see that part it makes me cry.

That was Gemma way of also manipulating Jax though. She kept that info for a while and until she saw it would work to her advantage that’s when she told them what happen.

Would love you guys to review Season 2-Episode 4 “Eureka.” One of the first great Tig moments after he got hurt and then taken by the bounty hunters. Also, I’m curious to hear what you guys think about Mayans M.C. Have you watched it? Thoughts?

Jax started doing the voiceovers from his own journals in the later seasons, like 5 and up. Which I thought was just such a good choice and the natural progression for the show.

I didn't start watching till season 4. My first episode I stumbled on was the one when Juice stole the brick of blow and shot Miles in the face. Looked interesting but had no clue what was happening. So I downloaded the whole series to that point and was totally hooked. As far as the good ol boys turning wrenches in the garage was one of the things that made the show more believable to me. With everything else so over the top; Jax and Chibs murdering a random guy in a store after staging a murder and its never talked about again. There needed to be that connection, as much as you as the actors may not have liked it.
