10 күн бұрынChef Carlos Raba is making a difference in his Baltimore neighborhood by providing authentic Mexican food at his restaurant Clavel and teaching Brazilian jiu jitsu - all for free for kids ages 6-17. Raba, and his wife Claudia, say it's part of their effort to build a better community. “It’s just another community forming - that’s what you need,” Claudia says.

@@GlockPeace I know plenty of families that are American and have the same values. I'm American, Mexican and Puerto Rican. We have a lot to learn as human beings. I believe good will always win over evil.

What a great couple! They get it, they have a prosperous business, and they give back to the community that supports them! This is one of the components to building strong, safer communities! Mentorship, kindness and support for the youth!

Shoutout to this man and his wife! I live in Baltimore and teach high school. This is such a beautiful and necessary resource!! Will absolutely be sharing with some of my kids parents who could really benefit from this. Will also be stopping in this weekend for some tacos 😅

Getting kids to perfect in a craft gives them self confidence, and as the little boys says, discipline. They come to have a pride within themselves. Added plus, they can defend themselves. Such a smart, loving gift to give to the little ones looking for direction to be led.

This is amazing! What a wonderful "protective factor" for these youth -- they learn confidence and self-defense, and then afterward a yummy meal after hard rolls! How could one turn this down :) ?

Everything that is good for health and well being in America should be free for kids. I’d be happy to pay a little more so our kids can take martial arts and learn good habits and values. I wish we had more people like Carlos.

With all the division, which I truly believe is mostly manufactured by those with the (purse) strings in their hands, it is high time that we, as individuals, do what we can to build community. These two folks are doing what is necessary. So too shall I.

It’s 100% manufactured by the super wealthy. Unfortunately we are too dumb to realize it, and both sides think the other side is the enemy. They don’t realize that most of us have like 80% of stuff in common. They just do a very good job dividing us with the other 20%. And trust me, they have algorithms and all kinds of things at this point that they use to divide us as efficiently as possible. Americans will never realize this though. But if they did it could get brutal. Just look at the French Revolution.
