Because of you and Brad is the reason I got hooked on Surf Fishing, back in November I caught 34” black Drum using small piece of Fish Gum. That was awesome you giving him a pomp! Me and one other guy were evening beach fishing in St Augustine and he wore out the pomps and I got into some bigger whiting. When we got back to the parking lot, I gave him 2 big whiting for a 15” pompano so that we both had a mixed cooler to take home! Awesome video as usual!

That a way Matt! Sharing knowledge. Line diameter. I fish some dang gum rough surf. I use 40 lb mono on 40 lb braid to heave 4-6 oz sputniks, but it is always 15 lb fluoro for the hook off of the main leader. I wish I could throw light stuff like you got there in the gulf. Pomp, so yummy.

You don't need surf rods, just use what ya got and have a good time! Most fish are close in too
