Sweet video dude. I have a carolina skiff j14 center console. And ya have to watch the wind as you pointed out. I go out solo most times and when the bite is on it's quite hectic as your video showed. Great job with those big fish by yourself. I have all shimano baitrunners for years no problem at all just take care of them.

Great video! Just recently subscribed, and I'm loving your channel. I like to use conventional reels for bottom fishing, and spinning reels for artificials and such, just because they're so much easier to cast.

Wow, I have recently found you and I gotta say, I enjoy watching you. You certainly have done your homework, you know all these local fish and equipment. You are truly living the golden life, my friend! I would give anything to fish every day! It takes a ton of cash to do what you do I am impressed. I do have one question, do you have a plan for when one of those giant sharks yanks you into the water? I mean do you have a life preserver? It is the ocean after all. Enjoyed your vid. Coming down in a couple weeks, hope to put some snapper in the box. I always try to get out there early, but was wondering if you ever go out late afternoon/early evening, and see fewer boats around the rigs and at the ramp? I use Penn Battle spinning combos with 30 lb. braid.

It’s about the same during the day and morning. Early morning sometimes has less boats on it, but it also depends on the swell conditions too. Penn battles are hard to beat for sure, thanks for watching !

I use spinning reels the most, usually Penn, just because they’re versatile. I love fishing conventional and low profile reels, but I feel like they are a little less flexible, especially for beach fishing.

Awesome video you really need a buddy to go out to help you film. Answer to your next question I would rather use a spinning reel but I can use a conventional With no problems. I just prefer a good spinning reel

Love it! That dang triple rig is always piled up. Is there any way to share pics with you? We think we may have caught a state record bull shark on a chicken rig this past Monday. She had to have been every bit of 450 lbs.

Their build Quality is excellent, but make sure you purchase one with stuff you want already installed (such as trolling motor plug, power pole bracket, etc.) because installing things on them is a PITA lol

I have, but you must pay attention to weather! Fishing the south shore of Mobile Bay can produce some nice inshore fish.

That AJ is some damn good eating. Next trip you need to catch some more croaker to fish with. Go spend an hour or so throwing a cast net and load up on them. Better bait better fish

It's a Penn Senator 4/0 customized with a Tiburon Frame with 80lb braid. I use 30lb braid mostly on my spinning reels

I have a nice quality inflatable jacket. they're awesome, low profile, and simple to use. Only time they wouldn't be effective is if you got knocked out (but they do make ones that are activated when wet, which would work as well).
