Bambulabs devs are genius! put in a $20 webcam with timelapse and make every owner a youtuber :) Fantastic printer though. Sure it's neat to make some toys but the multi color really comes in handy with logos and useful markings. Not much waste if you're highlighting lettering or using it for something more productive. The AMS has to be one of the best multi color systems I've used.

Weird thing is so many people hate time lapses made by Bambu printers. Some reddit communities even ban calling them advertising. Why don't they ban all printer time lapses but only Bambu ones? I guess people who are fans of Prusa and Open source are just butt hurt that their printers are slow and worse than Bambu. I bought just my own P1P. I have had Ender 3 V2 Neo but it is just too slow and the new K1 from Creality is just total trash product

It's ok but it's still not as good as multi-nozzle printing. The AMS wastes so much filament having to purge every multicolor layer. Hopefully Bambu will look into a multi nozzle machine.

@@collegestudent6071 I agree but man 16 colors can you imagine the price on that Prusa XL. :) Most things 3dprinted are a waste altogether. The AMS''s are fantastic for logo/graphics work where you're only doing a layer or two on your model. Very little waste.

@@Jellylazer every time there's a color change on the same layer, the X1 has to purge a big glob of filament to clean out the old filament from the nozzle since it cuts the filament so high up when doing a filament change, then it continues to purge even more into a wipe tower before it continues printing into the model. every. time.

With models that have large wide sections sparse infill don't allow the top layers to bridge correctly and they will droop into the gaps of the infill and have bad quality.

@@rileyneufeld7001 there are infill solutions for this. Lightning infill is a pretty extreme one that saves gigantic amounts of filament, suitable for this kind of non-structural print.

@@logitech4873 Yes I'm aware of lightning infill and honestly haven't seen much savings at all compared to using grid infill type in Cura. Plus as you stated grid infill actually gives the part strength compared to lightning which does nothing in that regard.
