I have a tip for those that prefer to use the Cool Whip. I pour a cap full of vanilla extract and fold it into the cool whip. It gives it a homemade taste.

Gail would that be a large cool whip instead of pudding and I just bought electric mixer and it has one speed fast everything flies out onto my walls,lol I am a beginner cook, thank you

To store bought coke mix, I add milk instead of water, butter instead of oil, 5 eggs, vanilla pudding mix and it makes the best cake ever.

Oh my goodness! The tip for making a cake like a bakery style cake is a KEEPER! I used it on a strawberry cake box mix and it was amazing!!! Big compliments all around from the family and friends! I can’t wait to try this Banana Poke Cake when I have some ripe bananas!

Another great recipe! 🤗 I've made several of your poke cakes and a few of my own. 😋 I love the layers of flavor and texture, usually topped with something rich and fluffy! 😁 I've actually been making cakes very similar to yours for years. I use melted butter and since I don't always have milk on hand, I often use sour cream instead. 😉 I love seeing all the different flavors of poke cakes you've given us! 💕 I noticed when you were cutting a piece of cake to taste that a piece was already missing. 🤔 Somehow I think Thomas was there. 😋 BTW, I just wanted to let you know we have a new addition to our family. My 10th nephew was born Tuesday and he was named Thomas. 🤗 So we both have a Thomas in our lives. ❣️ Thanks for sharing another great recipe! 🥰

I made a gluten free cake today... used orange jello and a box of cream cheese instant pudding mix because this was what I had in stock. It was so delicious. Will be making it again. Marie L.
