Interesting discussion about how to know when you can take Rosh. I'd also say there's a difference between being able to do Rosh, and being able to do it faster than the enemy can respond to. There's also specific exceptions with various heroes, like how Pangolier enables any team to take Rosh as early as level 9 because his passive disarms Rosh for 80% of the fight in addition to lowering its armor.

Keeping up with this series and seeing how impactful it has been to Eri has been really pleasing! Great job lads, awesome to see more.

Eri-san, Coach B this series is great. I have been praticing and preaching your teachings. And it helped me a lot. It all really clicked after I understood what's required to win a dota game. Sometimes I can hear coach B in my head, ' It's not because your teammates are idiots, that you shouldn't be doing the right thing on the map!'. From Eri I learned that the right composure in games, is a huge part of winning. Keep up the good work guys, cann't for the next entry in this series

Someone should tell eri that when you pull you don't just have to rely on the neutrals attacking you to get the aggro of your lane creeps. You can also attack the neutrals just before they start turning back, this almost always ensures you get your whole creep wave in the pull and makes the timing of the side pull a bit easier imo for example that pull at 16:50 would've worked if he attacked the neutrals 1 time instead of trying to block his creeps

Lol just reminded me a game, I played today. We were down 44:12, our PL gave up - died, buybacked, went farm, died again during farming. Told him to play, that we are winning. Surprise, we ended up winning. P.S. Nyx is absolutelly broken, I have with him 75% winrate across 30 games.

I absolutely fucking love the conversation you're having about having carries play support and visa versa. The point in the conversation I'm commenting on is where you mention how the carry can grief their team and be blind to a lot of what's happening. Your point makes me think of an old metaphor about teamwork and it applies very well to Dota. In this case it's that a dota team is like a spear. The role of the players, thire positions pretty much show, in reverse order, who plays to win which part of the game. So pos 5 play to win the beginning, pos4 plays to win the period after that, the mid and offlane can go back and forth a little on who takes over from there and then the pos 1 is the win condition. So the spear metaphor would make pos 4 and5 the shaft, the pos 3 is what binds the head to the shaft, the pos 2 is the bulk of the head and the pos 1 is the extra hard and sharp tip of the spear. You can say the same thing with a sword or bow or gun. I think spear works cause it's the simplest. A dota team is also like a penis. Which I only said because that's the obvious comment to troll this with so I figured I'd get that over with but... It's also true in that we can all be a bunch a toxic dicks. XD I also like comparing dota to a football game with 3 lines of scrimmage. In the football metaphor your supports are the linebackers that buy time for the carries to farm and make plays. If you compare it to basketball, supports are like the guards and point guards and the carries and cores are like the center and forwards.

I definitely agree that him recognizing that they have better late game and all they had to do to win the game is not lose towers early is huge!

I like the idea im going to follow that exact layout spamming monkey king and climb.

I relied on mechanics to get me to 4k. Once I could no longer out-play my opponents, I sat at 4k for two years. THEN I started to learn support, and how to actually play dota. I went 4k to 5.3k pretty quickly by adjusting my perspective on laning as a support, and by shoving lanes to force the enemy movements.

The best tips i got are 1. use spells(also to farm) 2. be proactive/shove lanes farm the next camp 3. one eye on the map allways 4. buy the best items that synergize with your team and actually do something 5. Survivable heros are the best to grind in low brackets 6. stick to your hero pool ( this allowed me to actually know hero limits) till you get good if you play ranked

I was Guardian 2 before I watched BSJ. Now I'm almost Archon just because of BSJ's videos. Huge help to my games. My question though as a pos 5, what if your team is out of wards? Because what I usually do is scan the area where the enemy team will probably take to gank me before I push one to two waves. After clearing one to two waves depending on the situation, I just go back to farm or find someone I can enable.

well, can't say i'm pesimistic about getting to 3k mmr just by doing this, but i have been doing all those little things since this video got out - warding and pulling and stacking and pushing and salving and buying items right away when gold is aquired in 100 percent of my games and still no rise, my stats are good my scores are good but it's 30 percent win rate, maybe is my region idk... played carries to feel the need to understand all positions... still great videos, helping allot, tnx guys!

Bought a herald acc at 200mmr 2 weeks ago just to see what it’s actually like at that mmr, already up to crusader 3 , it is unbelievable you literally can do anything you want in the games and will still win, it’s harder to lose a game than it is to win it

Hey BSJ. 95% pos 5 and 5% pos 4 here. 5700 MMR. I am going to give you some advice but I will try my best to articulate this, please bear with me. Can you teach Eri to practice playing as carry? I think he will benefit a lot. Just pushing lanes as a support, i feel that the benefits as a pos 5 is too indirect. Instead of instructing him to shove lanes with jakiro, get him to play with farming core that can fight midgame. I back in the wc3 days i had the chance to use the legacy heroes in the normal maps (blademaster i.e. jugger and demon hunter i.e antimage). Also, i played other custom maps e.g. hero/base defense games where you can buy a ton of exp/str/agi tomes. So Naturally i know the mechanics of agi-str heroes and how they scale with levels, stats and damage items. Very rarely do intel heroes scale well so i have to say pos5 is not the best way to learn the game as a beginner. The following advice you give resonates with me a lot may not be relevant to Eri until he plays at a higher level: 1) when to leave the lane and leave your carry alone: you can theoretically win and stay in the lane 100% of the time up to 5k MMR if you know the trades and match ups. Eri's mechanics should improve if he uses other heroes at least once. 2) dead lane concept: does not apply to low mmr games. 3) Pulling in laning phase as much as possible, if carry feeds its the carry's fault: i disagree.If the carry dies while pulling, it is Eri's fault for letting it happen. Maybe teach him to do a partial pull a few of his own creeps and and spend more time harassing their offlaners. In the past, I have been selectively looking for pos4-5 content all over KZfaq and your channel especially and i was looking for quick fixes and tactics (e.g. watching speeds top 5 supports videos). These did not help me become much of a better player. I have gained MMR and it would not have been possible if i didnt watch your pos 1-3 content in addition to your support content.
