See how Nick (🇩🇪) and Lex (🇺🇸/🇲🇽) listen to this song for the first time due to a request that was made. This was a trip!
Thank you for joining us! Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments and don't forget to like and subscribe. We're open to suggestions/requests, so if you have one leave in the comments!
This is from the album Io sono Nato Libero (1973) by Banco del Mutuo Soccorso.

RE: PAUSING, EXPRESSIONS & AIR-INSTRUMENTS:
Please be mindful that we will pause (we prefer to react in the moment & to avoid copyright strike), we will react with enthusiasm, smiles, tears, conversation, exchanged looks and air-instruments. We are expressive by nature and are truly very quirky in every sense of the word. This is who we are and this is what we’ve got to offer. We understand it may not be for everyone, but here's to hoping you all enjoy and we absolutely love positive comments and feedback.
RE: LIVE VERSIONS vs STUDIO:
Check out why we haven't uploaded any live versions... yet. They will be coming, we promise!

Potete continuare a ridere...

Hi Nick and Lex, I'm Jerry and I have been enjoying your reaction videos for the past few weeks. This is my first time commenting on one of your videos. I just had to comment because I am half Italian also and Banco Mutuo Soccorso is one of my favorite Italian prog rock bands. My favorite song from them is R.I.P. (Requiescant In Pace) the second half of this song is beautiful it always get me emotional and brings tears to my eyes but if I can request another italian song for your reactions if I may. The song is called Profumo Di Colla Bianca. This is my most favorite Italian prog rock song ever, it is from a band called Locanda Delle Fate. I want to thank you both for your wonderful reaction videos I enjoy them very much. Thanks, Jerry Gomez Jr.

Hell yeah! Was not expecting to see this. Banco rules. Although the studio version would be much better. This was heavily truncated. The studio version is a real epic with lots of really intense prog. Please react to that. It's amazing.

Amazing. Gorgeous. Bellissimo. No wonder Italy was so happy with Genesis. In their first concerts, Italy had the best crowds. Towards the end (in 2007) Rome 500,000 This has such an interesting prog direction. Dramatic. Operatic. Thanks.

This brought tears to my eyes as well. I remember mentioning Banco to you a while back. I first heard them in 1975. I agree with others that the studio version with the long instrumental expands on the story of the song. It was such a loss when Francesco Di Giacomo passed away. I had never heard a voice like his, an operatic tenor, in a prog tock group. The band did some very experimental music too and film scores eventually. I love the 70's Italian progressive rock era. As others have said PFM, Area, Le Orme, Latte e Miele, Acqua Fragile...

BMS Is the best Italian prog band. Vittorio Nocenzi (keyboard) is one of the best artist in the world, he is gratuated in piano from the best music school in Italy, like he's brother. Francesco di Giacomo (voice, died in 2014) was a tenor and before the BMS he was a opera Singer. Another best member of this group was Tiziano Ricci (Bass) but he left the group in 2016. BMS is really a best progressive group but in Italy has never had success (like the other prof bands) because the most part of Italian people are ignorant in music.

In Italy the progressive music was popular from 1970 to 1975. In those years there were a lot of progressive band but only a few bands become famous out italy and continue the music carreer. There are online a lot of playlists of unknown Italian prog bands and if you listen to them you can really listen beautiful "lost" progressive music.

fun fact "le orme" was called "le ombre" now, in standard italian "ombre" means "shadows" but in the local dialect of where they are from it means a glass of wine, the hilarity was not lost on the locals so the band changed name to "le orme" to be taken more seriously

Hi guys, I'm an Italian guy born in the 50's (thus as you said I'm lucky) and approached progressive UK rock when I was 14th. I saw you discovered some Italian prog band so I would like to suggest a less famous prog band born in 1974: Il volo. Which is not the more recent three young boys (I do not like them at all).
