🐦 On Feb. 14th, 2020 concert *BAND-MAID* announced that they were going to play at *Budokan* on Feb 11th, 2021 playing at *Budokan* is like reaching the top of Mt. Everest but due to Covid the concert was canceled. In the live streaming concert *Saiki* address the fans and said how much *BAND-MAID* missed performing live to their *Masters and Princesses* and was followed up with this song that *BAND-MAID* has made for their fans. 🐦

Gets me in the feels every time. A beautiful, sad, moving and uplifting song. Put the subtitles on and have a tissue handy. Saiki made a speech before this performance began: “We were supposed to meet you today. For the first time in a year, we thought we could meet you all, those of you who could come to see us, but we can’t meet you in the end. I’m sorry. Even though it’s not my fault. We have been having days of turmoil for about a year. In the beginning, we were very surprised because we hadn’t experienced it before, and we had no experience of not being able to meet others in person. We were sad, but we found we shouldn’t be sad in this situation. When I saw you masters and princesses on social media, you were more depressed than us, and we thought that’s terrible. We Band-Maid have been thinking about how to cheer up all of you in the last year. We truly wanted to meet you at Nippon Budokan, but it’s impossible because of COVID, so let’s wait for the day when we can meet. And in the last year, during the COVID pandemic, we have become more eager to cheer you up, and we Band-Maid realized again it’s important to give our songs to you. That’s why we wrote this song for Budokan. We made the album also in the pandemic, so it might have a little similar feel, but this song is planned for Nippon Budokan, and we really want to give it to you masters and princesses now. Budokan is not our goal but just a stepping stone. We will perform at bigger venues, and we promise we will bring you there and give you even better songs, so let’s keep it up a little more. This is our present for you masters and princesses. Please listen to it.”

Oh my dog, Saiki and Miku take their vocals too a different level and Misa's bass playing is phenomenal. But lets not forget Kanami and Akane, Bandmaid would not be able to function without them. Beautiful song, one of their best ever. They never cease to amaze me.

This song floats under the radar somewhat because it is a ballad. But everything Band Maid is, is in this song. The incredible vocals and harmonies. The incredibly melodic choruses. And of course the musicianship of superbly talented young women. Our Maids rule.

A love song to us, the Band-Maid fans, letting us know how much they miss being able to perform for us live! Strong vocals, so deep and heartfelt ♥! Misa is so awesome on that bass! Akane killing it on the drums! How about that harmony! Saiki and Miku make such a powerful pair of vocalists! Kanami is a genius 👏! The small Pigeon is great at lyrics!

This was one of 2 love letters to their fans it is a powerful song the other song is Smile which is an acoustic version equally as good if you check that one out to these girls really love their fans great react as always. Long Live the PO! Wolf Hunterz are bad ass.

"About Us", in the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile, is an amazing song and personal message to their fans - a direction I'm glad to see them add to their journey toward world domination. And we get to hear MISA play the vibe she so enjoys. Stretch Band-Maid... Stretch with all your might. We're behind you 100! Their new, beautiful DVD/BD/CD box set (with 100 page picture book) of this incredible concert is unbelievable! Thanks Suzi Q & Travis, for bringing "About Us" to your viewers!

Just think of the irony of this performance. It's a love letter to their audience, and it is performed live, with such power & passion, to an empty hall with no audience to receive the letter. Sad, but beautiful irony. Made my eyes leak, yet again.

This song was written about how the band appreciates and loves the dedication of its fans. It was supposed to be released for the first time at the Buddokan show....which was cancelled due to COVID.

Showing the beautifully melodic side of the band here. Give their 1 of their latest releases in the song Hibana a listen. Only Spotify or YT but shows the other ultra clever, complex and catchy side of The Maids. A bit of Maids magic. Really shows the diversity and creativity the bands are renown for. There's really no other band like them.
