I just went to the final show of the US tour in Chicago. It was my first Band-Maid show. I'm 50 and have been to hundreds of shows in my life seeing Alice Cooper getting killed in multiple ways, seeing the complete bombacity of KISS, just tons of brilliant performances. And while, for me personally, there can be no better than Doro, I have to say that the Band-Maid show was the most fun concert I have ever seen. Through the smiles and crowd interaction with each member having their time, you can just tell the absolute joy they have just being on that stage and they express and share that joy with the audience. And their musicianship is literally second to none. Misa is my absolute favorite bass player. Phenomenal is too light a word to describe her, and all of them really.

What I find remarkable is how each member does “flex” yet the song is always better than the sum of the individual parts. The synergy they achieve that results in one kick-arse song is rarely achieved in rock music. The song is a masterpiece imho.

The band is evolving all the time yet remain the same. This was filmed at a rock quarry in Japan and it was 98 degrees that day. You wouldn't know it. They just finished their US tour and will be opening for GnR this weekend in Japan. A Rock band like no other. Unique and FUN. Peace.

@@glenkelley6799 Wembley arena, yep that's where i'd have the Maids play but i'm sure they will play Islington, Brixton academy & the legendary Hammersmith odeon. All the rock/Metal bands still refuse to call Hammersmith it's current name of Eventim apollo :)

At smaller venues (from experience) you don't often have pro cams front of stage but i've seen people before with pretty serious pieces of kit set up in the balconies & private areas normally off limits to public at music concerts. So hopefully they managed to do that....or i'll blame you for not reminding B-M.😁

I saw them October 19 in Phoenix. They gave us 100% on every song and the crowd was pumped. BM doesn’t do encores, when they leave the stage the okyu-ji is done. YT has a LOT of videos of their shows from the US tour. Which is great for those of us who are Maidiacs.

Another way to look at it is, the encore is built-in. Rather than leaving the crowd wondering if the band will return for more and wearing themselves out yelling "Encore!" while the musicians are getting a rest, Band-Maid keeps entertaining the audience.

From the Behind the scenes on the making of this music video it looks like they were just dropped off in a van. Also what is wild is that they can play this just as well live, as seen with their recent US tour.

Yeah, look it up on Google maps - it’s Japan - nothing is quite as remote as it may seem. The quarry is right off a major road and is setup for viewing and tours. There’s a road down into the depth of the quarry landing where they are shown all together throughout the video. I haven’t seen the video - not a prime member - but I just imagine you can walk to the ledges where there are some individual shots - I seriously doubt any climbing is required. Or is the video available to fan club? Take care.

There are trails for some of it, you have to get special permission to go where MISA and Kanami were. Also, Kanami was fascinated by the echos.

You can't help but love a band that constantly surprises with every new song. Can tell by the look on your faces, the same look I had when I first heard Influencer, that it maybe wasn't what you expected. So much to unpack you should probably give it a couple more listens. Just the Maids doing their thing. By the way the rest of the album is just as good.

Pretty much every song they create is a new style that they are adding to their music, lol! I think they've set out to leave no stone unturned when it comes to exploring musical styles! Just saw them a couple nights ago in Chicago for the closing night of their tour, by the way!

This is one track off their new EP (8 songs), you really need to check out the title track Unleash!!!!! which basically made Band Maid fans lose their minds for a reason that will be obvious when you watch the MV. Influencer and Unleash are the 2 easy listening tracks from the EP lol.

In the Making of vid on B-M Prime Kanami who is afraid of heights looks down at a camera from far away & says"Hey! Hi there! I'm on a cliff, it's so high. Hey i'm doing good". Thus proving that MINCHOMANIA does indeed rule.😁

Without a doubt. As to how they got there, I believe that she just twirled around extra fast when doing the swingy arm dance and became airborne. She let her skirt catch the air, and floated down safely to the ledge.

@@GaryHolloway-810 haha. You're right. Sai-chan gets even. Kudos to all Band-Maid staff and techs and drivers. That was one HUGE bus to navigate some really narrow streets. In Philly he had to backup twice to make the left turn to the venue. All one lane streets in that area. Of course he could have let the Maids off at the corner and I would have personally escorted them to the venue (along with 50 other maniac Maidiacs.) 🤔

It took me a bit to initially "get into" this song but that's one of the reasons I adore this band, they develop and challenge themselves and listeners, anyhow listened to it with some decent headphones - WTF 🤯🤯 After umpteen listens I'm still unwrapping the musical layers and I'm even more convinced BM is a superior, gorgeous alien life form 😄 They're not rock climbers they are the pinnacle, better be on your A game Guns and Roses, Viva the Maids peace and love Po 👍🎼🥁🎤🎸🍻

Location is a decommissioned granite quarry in the Ishikiri Mountains, Ibaraki from 1909 era that produces the "Inada" stone or "white lady" stone because of its white luster, strong and durable, like Band Maid, Po! Also, Japanese origin - "Honcho-dori" was the "Main Street" in Yokohama (same area Band Maid had their 2021 Christmas concert). Story say the American sailors, during the late 1800, were directed to follow this road back to the ship. Therefore, "easy street" to get back to the ship after liberty. Most likely pronounced by the sailors as "Hunky Dory." Btw, check out the lyrics, its on point about the influencing culture, Po! 🦍 Kanami (Lead G, Main composer) has files of song idea. She is a workhorse that set timelines to her musical scores. Therefore, there will be songs, EP or full albums every 365 days. I cannot comprehend, Po!

Thanks again from Japan 有難う 💛。 This song was played in 11 shows flawlessly in their US tour that ended on Nov.1 in Chicago.😍 This MV was filmed at a famous and old stone quarry (Ishikiri-Sanmyaku) located in Ibaraki prefecture, north of Tokyo. Kanami, the lead guitarist, was very scared when she stood near the brink of the cliff but she could defy the fear once cameras started to capture her playing scene. [source : Gekirock News]. Saiki is singing "Hunky Dory" repeatedly. It sounds to me, an aged Japanese, a kind of word play or pun. This phrase is very close to Japanese expression "Honki (本気) Dori (or Tori 撮り)" that means 「本気」= serious, earnest, sincere" and 「撮り」= filming, recording, image capturing". This is cynically suitable 😄 to what influencers do, isn't it? In the rap part Saiki is also singing "Always that one-upping contest, chit-chat chit-chat". "Chit-chat" sounds like "chicchai ちっちゃい" in Japanese. That means "tiny, trivial, frivolous, worthless etc." Miku's lyrics includes a lot of word play and Miku admitted she did it on purpose in an interview [source : Spice Oct.7] "Influencer" was premiered (live debut) on Sep.7 at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo in Band-Maid's pre-US concert. Just so you know, I witnessed it at the venue ヽ(^o^)丿.

There are number of Fancams of their tour concerts in the US. The LA Belasco one is excellent! They are playing "Influencer" live! A reminder, Band Maid has complete control of their music, from creation to release.

Great reaction , BAND-MAID is back for World Domination , they just finished up there U S tour on 1 Nov , I saw them in Seattle on 12 Oct the show was Amazing they did an 18 song set including Influencer , when MISA hit that bass solo it was wild , they ended with Domination . they are going to open for Guns n Roses in Japan .

@@stevekane4922 It's difficult I think to choose a song for first timers because there is so much variety in their music. What actually truly represents them, they keep moving the goalposts with every release or every song even. Thrill was my first and it was enough to make me want to hunt out more. They did actually play Thrill at one show in Seattle though. I do agree it wouldn't be my choice if I was introducing them to a newbie.

Definitely! They're such perfectionists that if a song was "bad", they'd work at it day and night until it becomes awesome. And Kanami would never let a mediocre composition be released.
