I just love Misa’s counterpoint bass line during the little breakdown before they come back in with the last chorus. Not enough people notice or mention it. There are other songs where she does that too.

This is like one of those songs you’d never recommend to a rocker but after you see/hear it, you realize how bangin’ it really is.

Thanks for keeping the Maids in rotation. This was the second song I ever heard from them. At that point, I hadn’t fallen into the pigeonhole yet. What kept me going was what you pointed out: dopamine, happiness overload, fun, catchy, good music made for music fans. Have you ever seen those wild soap foam parties where people are jumping around in huge billowing clouds of suds? Enjoying Band Maid is kinda like that.

Totally agree, and they also throw in obscene amounts of creativity, virtuosity and musical magic tricks to satisfy the musician/music snob. They are a miracle.

Nice reaction guys and our little, 810 year old pigeon, Miku, is a master at crafting interesting and meaningful lyrics that are both specific and ambiguous.

This was the song was in a Netflix movie and when it started I just stopped the movie and played it on Spotify like three times in a row. I had never heard of them before that. It's a super catchy early to mid-00's pop-rock song but unlike those songs, it's got a killer shredding guitar solo. In essence, the perfect pop-rock song. After I finished the movie, I listened to it two or three more times then Thrill started playing and after a few bars I literally said aloud, "This is the best band of the decade." I undersold them in my book; best band of the 21st century.

MUNE also translates as “heart,” as well as “breast” or “chest.” My knees get weak every time I hear SAIKI sing, “I choose you.” 😊

This song has a POP punk flavor. The guitar solos in the middle and at the end are wonderful. And the rhythm section of bass and drums is always perfect. The vocals are naturally great. I like the straightforward lyrics of 'choose me'. The lyrics that MIKU writes are philosophical or love songs, but they are generally structural and quite complex, incorporating various elements. I think it's good to have straightforward lyrics like this sometimes.

Asap great point on the eye opening of finding and connecting to these Japanese metal and rock bands. It is why I love reactions to them it is just a brief touch of that original magic.

Yes they are distinctive. A lot of people say they remind them of this band or that band but I don't think they remind me of any band. To me they are unique. They excel at any speed. Peace. 2.28

Guys, If you want to see Saiki's versatility as a vocalist, you should react to two versions of the same song. The song is "Puzzle". You may have reacted to the recent official live version of the song from Tokyo Garden Theatre, but please view and pay attention to the English lyrics in closed caption. There is another version which is an acoustic live performance. In that version, only Kanami and Saiki are the only two performers. Kanami plays acoustic guitar and provides beautiful backing vocals, but Saiki's vocal performance is incredibly emotional and heartrending. it is a stunning performance. You may need a tissue.

I second this. In fact I would recommend you guys listen to the full version then immediately listen to the acoustic version so the differences in emotion give you the greater impact.
