when i first heard one of their songs, i didn't think much of it, but as i delved more into their music, it really clicked just how good they actually were. akane is one of the best drummers ive seen period, kanami kills guitar. sometimes i'll just be listening to their songs, and despite it being in the background and hard to hear, i'll just say to myself, "this bass fucking slaps."

マツコの知らない世界で、日本で一番世界にファンを持つバンドと紹介されていたのはその通りだし、元々BAND-MAIDを知らなかったマツコが「めちゃかっこいいい」とほめていたのはよかったと思う。ただ、日本でも海外でも楽曲と演奏の良さで評価されているのに、いまだにメイド服とハードな演奏とのギャップ萌えとか、「あざとさ」とかと紹介されていたのは残念。

@@user-mu2qr5ji4t まあそれで MV を見に来る人がいればいいのでは？ BAND-MAID チャンネル全体で今日までで 70000 回くらい視聴数が増えました。寺田恵子さんは BAND-MAID とも知り合いで「小鳩ちゃん」って呼んでたし、KANAMI さんと Nemophila の SAKI さんはツイッターで相互フォローしていますし、好意的だったと思います。

小鳩は頭もカンもかなり凄いと思います。なのでこの場合のあざとい、は褒め言葉かと。自分は全然メイド服の良さとかが分からないので見た目に関しては、なんじゃこりゃ？？こういうヤカラはどうせイマイチに違いない、と決め付けてました。しかしReal Existenceのイントロ鳴った瞬間お茶噴きそうに。この邪悪なギターに怒涛のリズム隊、ダークだけど男性ロックのマネではない特徴的な声、ダメ押しはソロ爆裂で笑いと涙が止まらず・・・。まんまと小鳩の意図するギャップにヤられました。

返信いただきありがとうございます。これまで、BAND=MAIDが何度か、TVの地上波やBSの番組に出たのを見たことはありますが、どれも、小鳩の「ぽ」やおまじないタイムばかりが取り上げられ、音楽の中身に触れられることがあまりなかったのを残念に思っていました。そういう意味では、今回のマツコの知らない世界は、大御所寺田さんの演奏がすごいというコメントもあり、かなり良い方とは思っています。

リリースから半年も経てばさすがに聴くたびに昇天することはなくなりましたが、このバンドの最初に聴くのはこれ、そして最後もこれ。今年65になりますがここまで聴き込んでる曲はおそらく10曲に満たないかと。元気なうちにリアルお給仕行かせて欲しいです。

As a musician of 56 plus years, I have watched and listened to this about 14 times. Kanami Tono writes and composes some really progressive music. I heard Kanami basically playing a solo all the way through the song. Then you have MISA playing bass at times like a lead guitarist. Then you have the gorilla (Akane) changing tempo all the way through the song. Saiki's and Miku's vocals were spot on and when their in lower registers it sounded amazing. I in my opinion would put Band-Maid as a Progressive rock band, because they can put any genre of music in one song. They are simply amazing musicians and entertainers.

I agree. I've listened to this a several times today and it's stuck in my head now. Am not sure if many people pick up on how brilliant Kanami is. The way she structures a lot of their songs is just genius. And how they play with the tempos all the time with their songs is very clever as well. It's also so much fun watching her, such a sweet lady going crazy when performing. I love listening to Lovebites, Unlucky Morpheus, Gacharic Spin, Doll$Box, Wagakki Band and others. Lovebites is an amazing band and their songs are great. The talent of Unlucky Morpheus is mind blowing. However, I really love Band-Maid. Their music, chemistry between the dorky members, the back story - there is something about them that supersedes all others. They are my forever band.

@@fastskipper777 So you know music, because of the lessons 👍👍 I started taking lessons when I was 9 years old and studied until I was about 16 years old then my teachers didn't want to teach me anymore. I could read the music, but I could play by ear too. I played in bands most of my life until about 5 years ago I had nerve damage in my left hand. Now I just listen to music and find incredible bands from around the world to watch and listen to. Have a great day..

Last December, within 48 hours of Conqueror releasing, iTunes reported it at #10 for album downloads, in the world. With no fanfare from bribed mass media. @@JerryGoNuts Yeah, when I saw Moratorium LIve off of the incredible STUDIO COAST show I got a strong Led Zep vibe off of the stage. That superb Zepp Tokyo concert also is so strong! Their magnificent presence, musicianship and powerful radiance is something that cannot be denied in my book. And I started thinking that they could easily be called legendary soon. Like right now-ha ha! Of course there are many other songs that I love that they are capable of playing any kind of song, covering a myriad of emotions etc.. ALL HAIL BAND-MAID--these ladies are special and a "miracle band"!

To me, "Different" is like blue cheese. First time I heard / tasted it, I was like, WTH? Something is off here. But then you listen to / try it again and it's like, hey, this is great. I know it doesn't make sense to say this since we've seen Miku perform [Screaming] and [Dilemma] live before... but it really makes me so happy to see Miku holding her ground against the "Holy Trinity" even at 210bpm nowadays. And Saiki's vocals go from strength to strength. Being an Anime Tie-Up, I'm sure there are requirements from the "client" to meet... but I'm so glad they are still able to make it a Band-Maid song without doubt. So glad that the crazy dissonant songs like Screaming and Dilemma now have an official representation in their MVs. And thank you Band-Maid, for the subtitles!

The first time I listened to this, I thought Oh dear.. but the drums were good. The second time, Saiki and Miku's vocals stood out. The third time, I began to hear some of the layers and it got its hooks into me. Now 50+ times later, happy as a sandboy, loving every second. Having the lyrics in good English is great-long may it continue. I am really amazed how Band-Maid manage to produce both instantly addictive hits and songs that grow over time. Bad songs? Not heard one yet. Really helped getting through 2020 with a smile.
