Listening to Different is like riding the bull. You just hold on for dear life and let the ladies go. A lot of Band Maids music can be described as controlled chaos, done to perfection.

The first time I heard this song it seemed really chaotic and the opening riff didn't appeal to my musically unsophisticated ears. It took me several listens for my brain to sort out all the stuff happening. Now I can't listen to this without head banging. I love it every time I hear it now. The moment I hear "Let's Go It's Showtime" I get goosebumps. I appreciate when reactors that are musicians stop and talk about what they think and notice about a song. I have enjoyed your reactions and I have been listening to your music.

In the "Making of" clip for the Day of Maid online okyu-ji they posted on Prime, one of the staff starts singing "Let's go it's showtime" offscreen as they're going onstage and Miku starts singing along with her. Super cute, as is how nervous they still get before going on.
@waynebenedict57853 жыл бұрын
This song is a stand alone item for the anime series "Log Horizon", season 3, which is on now in Japan. Miku wrote the lyrics from show notes from previous seasons of the anime. Fast and furious! I had to listen to this song a few times to really like it, now I love it! Akane has said she held back a little on the drums to not overshadow the rest of the band. So much versatility from Band Maid! The only thing predictable from this band is that everything is different! And Great!

It took me two or three listens to even begin to process this one and appreciate it. Overwhelming. But the more I heard it, the more comfortable I got with it. Then I learn from comments on it that it is a theme song for a TV anime series (Log Horizon season 3), looked that up and found it was about being trapped in a virtual world trying to get out, with monsters and fighting and chaotic activity. Something to keep in mind. The trailer for the series also has a character in a maid uniform who looks a lot like... Miku. And while seeming vulnerable, attackers end up suddenly dead.

Akane''s smiles grows bigger the more complex her drum beat.....same with Kanami when playing her solos....Misa's playing her bass in a deadly fashion....even Miku's backup singing and lyrics seem so simple but oh so effective! Saiki nails the vocals and keeps everyone on their toes! Flashing a smile from time to time...each gave their style but all working together to execute a great song in a awesome sound that looks so simple to do! Thanks for the reaction...your honest opinion is valued and respected! Peace and Respect from 🇨🇦

I do love Band-Maid just kind of doing whatever they feel like song to song. They don't just apply the genre "hard rock" to themselves and then just stay in that lane. They incorporate and blend in so many genres and styles to their playing that they just create their own unique experience. But they do still manage to keep some core where you can tell it's still them. As people mentioned this was written for an anime, but they also have another song that was written for the anime Yu-Gi-Oh called "glory", which they also released on their album "Conquerer". I am glad they are seeing some exposure outside the internet. They deserve all the success they can get. One day you'll have to try out Band-Maiko. They are truly the only band that can compete with Band-Maid (since they're the same people).

I also think that the ladies don't necessarily see what they learned in music school as strict rules, but rather as guidelines from which they can deviate without directly running into danger. As if they would try a lot by ear and feeling. This approach can also be interpreted from a few interviews in which they talk about the creation of their songs. They like to think outside the box. 【 'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!' - Band-Maid 】🕊️

Some mega fan with time on their hands needs to count how many different riffs Kanami has come up with (including the different variants of the same riff in the same song). I'm sure the number is impressive... all the more so because they're all great riffs, too. Amazing song... but I admit I was taken aback when I first heard it. The story behind this and its release is case in point about BAND-MAID being a cut above: - it's a commission they did for an anime called Log Horizon, it replaced the opening song for the 3rd - the original opener was well loved and this was very well received; anybody who knows anime fans knows how tough of a feat that is on its own - Kanami recorded all the guitar work - they sat on this for nearly two years - in preparation for the reveal of the show's 3rd season and the new song, Kanami wrote another song, an etude for Miku to practice guitar skills she'd need to play her parts live - this came out shortly before Unseen World was released and took most people by surprise because of the evolution in their sound, far more complex and progressive than what we'd seen before - most people thought it was a one off... then UW was released How many bands out there take this much care with their work? I'd argue most people, whatever they do, don't get anywhere near that level with their work.

This is very much a Kanami song (even more than usual). Misa has said that she hardly changed the bass line from Kanami's demo, Akane described the drumming as 'hard'. Even the "Let's go, it's showtime" came from Kanami. Kanami also wrote the instrumental "Don't be long" (another great track) to help Miku play seventh chords and dims so that she could play this song live.

This DEFFERENT is the theme song of a weekly TV anime program. What that means is that the band has to listen to an overwhelming number of people (the various departments that create the anime) than usual, and the final "OK". It is the producer of the program that has the authority of. And the band has to make a song that packs virtually all the essence into the first minute. Even under such circumstances, however, I think DIFFERENT is an aggressive song. The reason is that this anime is a program that airs on "NHK" (a Japanese public broadcaster like "BBC" in the UK). Therefore, in the case of NHK, there is no advertising agency that has a great influence on the producers by intervening between the program and the sponsor in an ordinary broadcasting station. Previously, in GLORY, which is also the theme song of the anime program created by BAND-MAID, there was an anime-like part especially in the lyrics, but this DIFFERENT is the theme song of the anime program that is aired every week. I think it's a song that was made quite freely. BUBBLE is also the theme song for TV dramas, but I think it's a form selected from a large number of songs. BAND-MAID, as a band and as an individual musician, has such outstanding abilities and a track record of selling out live houses, but nevertheless, of Japanese music media. In terms of sales, a combination band of personal computers and vocals composed the theme song of a hit anime, and although they did not perform live, it was less than 1/10 of the sales of YOASOBI, which became very popular. And for BAND-MAID, who has no general name and is not reported in the media, if the anime program they are playing the theme song hits, there is a possibility that it will become a major in Japan. In addition, the band brings aggressive hard rock ... I really love BAND-MAID. I'm sorry for my poor English.
