Misa is just a beast on the bass. They all are amazing musicians. And yes they deserve a bigger following .. their main obstacle is that they are from Japan and many Americans won’t give them a listen because they are not open minded. But your channel and other reaction channels are helping spread the word to give this band and other deserving bands some more exposure.

What are they doing? They're making faces to each other, trying to mess up each other's playing. Yes, that's a huge flex. They're that good. So you like Misa the bassist, huh? The fans gave her a nickname "Barefoot Assassin", because she's tend to perform without her shoes on (casually walking up to the stage and taking off her shoes, shrug it below the amp), and her maid costume back then taking the concept of an assassin (long skirt with high slit).

This is not the band you thought they were after Thrill. These are the kaiju of modern rock-n-roll, and nothing can stop them.

3:16 They're playing what's called Hengao (strange faces) in Japanese because they are that confident and trusting in each others' abilities to do it. 4:34 - Look closely and you'll notice Misa, the 5' 7" bassist, is switching from hammering and pulling at her 5 string bass to plucking with a pick, almost simultaneously. That takes some skill to do but then she, like Akane the drummer and Kanami the shredding queen on lead, are all classically trained musicians who've turned their knowledge to new instruments. Kanami writes all their music while Miku, the rhythm guitarist and founder of the band, writes the lyrics which Saiki sings. Try some of their other live songs, especially from this same Feb 2020 concert, where Domination was the 22nd song on their 23 song live set. Basically, they are THE best Rock band I've seen and heard in decades and certainly the best Rock/Heavy Rock band on Earth right now. Great reaction and yes this band makes you sweat, heart constrict, breathing increase and endorphins explode, just like running a marathon. I've been listening to rock since the 50's and this band for me is in my personal list of top five band of all time, hands down. I haven't felt this way since I first heard Zeppelin in 1969. They deserve to be better know and the only that will happen is through YT, especially in the US where radio for real rock music is practically dead.

Did you notice that MISA on bass switched effortlessly between playing with a pick and slapping and back again (by tucking the pick into her palm, held in place by her forefinger)...all without missing a note.....

That´s the point. Live they are unbeatable. Nobody works so hard on their crowds. They always try to include catchy choruses so that their audience can sing along with them. I really think there is nothing they like more.

B-M has always wanted to be international and that's the reason for the English choruses. Miku, who writes the lyrics, wants to add parts where an international audience can sing along, as you noticed. It's not totally uncommon for Japanese bands to do so, but B-M is very consistently writing these parts into their songs.

They were doing 変顔 or hengao which means Weird Face. Basically making Funny Faces at Akane trying to throw her off. Not a chance. She is a machine, aka Gorilla, because she is Banana Powered. She has a huge apatite. She takes all that energy and pours it into her drumming. Her nickname is "The Beast". Foreign words and accents often sound exotic. The Japanese have a long and very positive (mostly) relationship with England and the US since they opened their borders. The Japanese have a ton of English loan words and they commonly appear on signs, songs(especially anime intro/endings) and even daily conversation. It is not for the KZfaq algorithm, it just sounds cool.

Great reaction! Love when peeps have to stop/step away. Electric guitar always been my fave instrument in music. Hence my (like MISA) love for Hendrix, but last 5 years have become more appreciative of bass (& players). Don't get me wrong, I ♥ all of these gals. They rawk! I even think that Kanami just maybe the 2nd best guitarist I've ever seen, but my fave will always be MISA ♥. Not only is she drop dead gorgeous, but can play bass better than anyone I've ever seen/heard. Oh Did I mention that I ♥ this band? ;)

THE BEST METAL BAND EVER PERIOD!

I just wish I can get my hands on Miku's new custom Zemaitis Dragon Classic guitar. It's called the Flappy Pigeon appropriately named. Which is an absolute work of art but aside from that. What some may not know. Akane who is the drummer is in charge of organizing rehearsals and performances. She also claims can eat 5 bowls of ramen. 30 plates in a Kaiten Sushi. Along with 130 bowls of soba lol. Akane also plays the trombone & is a classically trained pianist. In addition to playing for an acoustic band called "Rice Cakes And Cheese with kanami" lol. She also plays the Cajon and is a DJ at various nightclubs under the stage name DJ Achi. Yes, Akane is definitely's a unicorn I have concluded lol. 🦄 That's just one member mind you lol. Now you know why we all say they are even better live. But this also is 7 years after "Thrill". In that time, Miku (founder) moved from co-lead vocals to backing vocals, while learning to play the guitar (!); they took over complete creative control around 2016; Saiki (V) had vocal chord surgery and came back stronger; and they visited the U.S. 3x. The home of real rock is in Japan now--you've seen Band-Maid and Lovebites, and there are a dozen more great Japanese rock and metal bands, most of them fronted by women or even all-female like these two groups.

MISA, the bassist has a very different technique when she switches from plektrum to slapping, she hides it with her index finger and it's seamless. She is one of the best bassists i've seen in the last 30 years. Or at least B-M gives her time to shine in almost every song. Feel-good music at its best :-)

Brother, these girls are relentless. Get ready to dive into the deep end of the pool.

Misa can switch repeatedly between picking and slapping in the blink of an eye. She and Akane (Dr) may be the best back line in the world today--I can't think of a band since Rush that had a comparable pairing. They have intentionally put English lyrics and crown participation parts in their songs for their worldwide fans. A lot of the English is hard to pick out, with the accent, unless you know the lyrics.

I liked and subscribed but you really need to follow the 180º rule. Reverse the inserted screen to the left hand side and your screen and your image to screen right, or you can easily view your monitor from a different angle so it looks like yur viewing the screen from the proper perspective.
