I've always loved Freezer, but sometimes I forget the level of rock perfection that is Flying High. Miku's lyrics for FH and lots of other songs are often abstractly poetic, but often have to do with confronting and overcoming life's obstacles -- setbacks, heartache, disappointment, etc.

Freezer always reminds me of the late 80's early 90's arcade video game Outrun's soundtrack. That driving guitar riff just hits my nostalgia button. And I just love when the Pigeon gets to yell, A couple more you might want to check out, Unfair Game, Matchless Gum oh, and for the Pigeon to yell, try Why, Why, Why?

Freezer is one of my all-time favorites. Easy top ten banger. While the instrumentation is relatively simple compared to their newer stuff, the guitar solo is absolute fire, one of Kanami's best, and the trading vocals back and forth is so much fun and just awesome. I wish they did more of this. There's nothing like the vocals with the only song somewhat similar would be the competing vocals in Yuragu, which is another of my personal top 20.

Their 2015 album "New Beginning" has so many great songs like "FREEZER" that they never play anymore (other than "Thrill" and "Real Existence"). Check out "Beauty and the Beast." It's an insane blend of different styles with Miku doing all the lead vocals. "Price of Pride" and "Arcadia Girl" are two other songs from that album that I absolutely love. Even though "Flying High" is a much newer song, it's still something of a deep cut, since they rarely play it live. No idea why, because it's a hard rock monster.

Freezer is easily my favorite song from the studio provided song era. It just slaps, start to finish. Awesome riff, the best back and forth vocals in any band maid song and a dirty great solo. Glad you reacted to it, it’s overlooked by so many because it doesn’t have an official video

As great as the guitar lines are here, it's the vocals that stand out to me These two songs are dual vocal masterpieces and can only happen with two lead singers.
