FYI, that whole instrumental intro is not normally part of the song. It was composed and specially added for this concert. And if you didn't catch it, this is the song right before Domination in the concert set list (the vid you saw last week).

I just saw them last Friday at the House of Blues in Dallas! One of the most fun concerts I've ever been to, I was grinning from ear to ear the entire show.

I was also at the Dallas show in the left side balcony. They are one of the best live bands I have ever seen. In my youth, I saw both Van Halen and Cheap Trick in small venues and the Band-Maid show ranks right up there

I have played guitar since the late 60s, but because of Akane I started drum lessons last year- just back from today's practice, then this year my wife started to learn bass guitar. Just depends how much you want to do it.

Incidentally, this song actually preceeds 'Domination'. That same song you reacted to last. You can hear the ending of this song at the beginning to 'Domination'.

This song was originally an instrumental , but Saiki lead vocals liked it so much , she asked Miku Rhythm guitar to write lyrics for it , now its a fun song for them n the audience .

I've always been more of a thrash metal guy but BAND-MAID almost instantly became my favorite band about 3 years ago. There are many female Japanese hard rock and metal bands you should check out. Nemophila, Trident, Hanabie, Lovebites, and Asterism to name a few.

Jynger, if you re-watch this reaction video, you may notice that there is a smile on your face from start to end. That is indeed the same as me. I have had occasion where after watching a string of Band-Maid videos one-after-the-other, my cheek muscles are almost hurting from the continuous smile on my face. I saw them live October 21 in Dallas. On the way out of the venue I was massaging the sides of my face to loosen that "smile". Oh I love these ladies so much!

I just got home from seeing them live. They really are this good live. MISA is the bass player is spectacular. They all are. I think tonight I was most impressed and surprised by Saiki (vocals) an Miku (guitar and vocals). Their stage presence is even better live. Akane (drummer) was smiling the whole show! Both Misa and Akane studied brass and wind instruments at music school and Kanami is principally a pianist, so don't worry about your musical experience "only" being in clarinet. Knowledge is never wasted. Slap that bass! 🙂

I've been to 3 shows on the tour so far and have the last show to see in Chicago on Nov 1. I saw them 4 out of 5 shows in 2019 and 1 show in 2018 (my first). Its impossible to put into words the difference between seeming them live in a video and seeing live in person. The insane amount of charisma they all have can only be truly felt in person. And yes, MISA is amazing. I got her pic in LA. :)

Just saw them last week in Phoenix. They give 100% on every song. The band has a unique relationship with their fans. As you watch more videos you will understand.

Yes, I've never seen a band that has such a "unique" relationship with their fans. I don't know who loves the other more. I've seen them live twice, you can just feel the love going both ways. It's an awesome experience.

You've clearly become a Maidiac so, welcome to the club! Subscribed coz I know you'll be wanting to see a lot more of THE best Rock band in the galaxy. Their MV's are superb too, although they always shine brightest live, and they don't seem to mind reactors using anything from their YT channel. All the videos on their channel from the past 4 years or so have subtitles too.

I was at the Dallas concert. Miku said they watch a lot of the reactions to their songs, and she recognized one reactor in the audience, so they definitely approve.

You can’t go wrong with our Maids! Satisfaction guaranteed or your money 💴 back; so I’ve heard but no one has ever been dissatisfied…! 😂 If you want more mind-blowing Misa bass moments (plus mind-blowing Saiki, Akane, Miku & Kanami moments), I highly recommend you next check out: - “No God” - official virtual live video (pandemic online live) - “Manners / Black Hole” - official live video (same online show) Both of the songs you’ve watched are from 2018; Misa and the whole band have upped their abilities since. The three songs I recommended above are from their 2021 album “Unseen World”. They are even more incredible than before. Note, the newer music is busier and not every Master & Princess loves the evolution of their sound but I think they’ve done it in a way that has only added their incredible-ness. Misa is a remarkable talent and by all accounts a kind and shy person in contrast to her whole “barefoot assassin” concert persona. (Yes, she plays barefoot). They’re newest song “Influencer” - official MV - is a really great song and ofc showcases more Misa awesomeness 🤷🏻♂️😱 Take care and rock on 🤘🏼

It is amazing how they have inspired so many people to pick up an instrument (or to dust off an old instrument) and start playing (or start playing again), or just get better at the instrument they are already playing. Do it. If you don't have one, look in the pawn shops, yard sales, garage sales, reverb, or sweetwater; find a luthier to check it out and set it up for you (most guitar shops will have one or can find one for you), look for a teacher or online for some tutorials, put in half an hour every day. It's really not hard, but it takes perseverance; and you can't persevere until you start.

I was going to try to make it my living but A) there are a lot of really good musicians out there and 2) the relationship with music changes when you get money for it. I switched to engineering but music kept me sane. It soothes the savage beast, as they say. It's even cheaper than *some* hobbies.

❤ Saw them on May 14th in Houston- Great concert so much talent at one place blew my mind 22 song set opened with Domination and ended the show with Endless Story got emotional when they thanked us for coming and said their farewells and goodbyes I will see them again in August at Lalapalooza in Chicago can't wait -see you there.

I saw Band-Maid on Friday in Dallas. In my over 45 years of going to concerts, their show ranks among the best. They have an 18 song setlist which they change up a little for every stop so each show is unique. The Dallas show lasted 1 hr 40 mins and just flew by. Unlike the large majority of bands, each member in Band-Maid has a time during the show to interact with crowd, although Miku does by far most of it. As has been mentioned, Guns n Roses is doing two shows in Japan on November 5 and 6. Loudness is opening for them on the 5th and they are a very talented and well known Japanese metal band that have been playing for about 40 years. Band-Maid is opening for GnR on the 6th along with a duo band called Granrodeo who are also very popular in Japan but I know nothing about them. Band-Maid will be performing before a crowd of close to 40,000, by far their biggest audience ever. This is a good indication of how much they are gaining popularity in Japan. If you, or anyone reading this, are within driving distance of LA, you should know that Nemophila will be back in LA for a show on March 9. They will also be at SXSW in Austin.

Just saw these amazing ladies at the fillmore in Silver Springs md and it was amazing show and something to see live probably the songs that have been suggested to you where on the set list at the Sliver Spring show there probably clips on you tube of those shows but yes they are a must see live best time ever for me these ladies rock wish the night never ended

Let me give you a run down of the band members ; 1) Miku ( red rose 🌹) rhythm guitar, backing & occasional lead singer, main lyricist & founder of the band. 2) Kanami, lead guitar, music composer. 3) Akane, drums. 4) Misa, bass. 5) Saiki ( blue rose ) lead singer. I saw them in Seattle on the 12th, their music is incredible & their stage presents/ crowd interaction is the best 👌 they make people feel like family !! 💯❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘

Just want to add a few tidbits. Miku - Small Pigeon. Kobato Miku means small pigeon. Kanami- Mincho or Kanamincho. She is completely different on and off stage. Off stage a very sweet personality. On stage she’s a beast on guitar. Akane - gorilla. She hits the drums extremely hard and likes bananas. Misa - the Barefoot Assassin. Doesn’t wear shoes on stage. She also slays the bass. Saiki - the Ice Queen. Definitely not the correct nickname. She’s always one of the first to start laughing at jokes or some the antics the girls start.

Hello......your smile was totally worth it watching this reaction !!!!!!!! Seeing people react to one of my favorite songs is why I spend way too much time on YTube ....LoL. I just saw the on 8/15/23 in LA and it was the best concert I have been to !!!! They absolutely blew the roof off the House of Blues to a wild sold out performance.

From Japanese old male I am a Japanese old man. I have been a fun of Bandmaid since their first appearance in Japan about 10 years before and surprised at their sound and their so incredible talented play and lyrics. That was a kind of miracle and new phenomenon in Japan. They are more popular outside Japan rather than in Japan at the moment.

Did you know that the venue they played today was a bit bigger than this? And audience were chanting and singing along...the only difference was the accent 😂 The tour is not over yet. You may still be able to find a ticket to one of their shows, and I've seen some tickets been offered on Facebook fan groups for free or next to nothing, because the person can't make it for family or health issues.😢 Their NJ show still have some tickets available from what I've heard.

great video. i love Band Maid. there are sooooooo many great music coming out of Japan. in your domination video you said you love supporting women in metal. some great all female Japanese bands are Nemophila, Lovebites, Trident, HANABIE, Babymetal, broken by the scream, Passcode Wagamama Rakia. some other great bands that are mixed gendered are Babybeard, waterweed, vividundress, unlucky Morpheus, Dragdown, Radwimps, Coldrain, one ok rock, Sim

Funny you said that you wanted to learn how to play Bass because of how good MISA is. In 2021, I decided to do that myself and actually bought a Bass Starter Kit from Guitar Center and have been taking lessons sense then. I'm nowhere near ready to come out of the basement yet; but, it gave me the courage I needed to try and write songs. I currently have one song in pre-production and two more songs started. Hopefully some day you will be reviewing on of mine. Give Bass a shot if you seriously want to. It's actually a lot of fun. As always, stay happy healthy and safe. Enjoy 👍

Don't worry, they'll be back. The only thing that had stopped them from coming to the US in 2020 and 2021 was covid. So far the fans have made towels and gifted them to other fans and the Maids at the shows. There's a "MISA MISA MISA!" towel for bass player MISA's birthday. And there's a towel for rhythm guitarist/band founder Miku that says, "SAY!" Just like how she says it in this video.

Dear Jynger! Greetings again on the same day after Domination! I noticed that Gary Holloway, Band Maid's favorite commentator ( do not believe half of what he says though prankster as he is! LOL) along with Tony Griffin, BM-4-Life, SNOWDOG and so many others! Alright, the old geezer is about to add more to your work! Band Maid is my top group. Second is Asterism with an unbelievable19-year old female lead guitarist (many people say that she might be Vai, Vaughan or Van Halen's granddaughter!)! Third is Sokoninari with another explosive female bassist. Fourth is Glim Spanky with a lady singing better than Janis Joplin! Great reaction. They've gotten better and better since the concert where Play was recorded. They practice hard and push themselves. The songwriter, Kanami (lead guitar player) is improving and branching out so much it's crazy. You should mix in old stuff and new stuff as you explore their catalog. It's more fun that way.

I don't care what songs you react to but I hope you remember NEMOPHILA they are good as well. remember some of these concerts go for 20 or 23 songs yet look at the quality of their live shows. there's another band called BRIDEAR that you might like. try their latest song about covid BRAVE NEW WORLD 🌎

play originally an instrumental song but saiki (sai-key) the lead singer bullied miku (me-ku) the second singer/rhythm guitarist into writing lyrics for it so she could join in.

The Perm-a-Grin says it all. I like watching people react to Band-Maid. I have not seen one vid where people have not been receptive, I am glad for that. I found them about 5 years ago and have been a fan ever since. I too missed the tour, knew about it but was unable to go. Love this band, they got me listening to heavier rock again. Finally, a band that has progressed music. "non-fictions days" was what got me the first time, knew the words without knowing the words. I see you are doing Daydreaming next, one of my faves too. I also like Scandal from Japan, not as hard but awesome if you want to check them out.

So, now that you have a taste of some great Japanese Hard rock, I think it's time for you to check out Babymetal. I'd suggest, in order (all official, to start), Gimme Chocolate, Megitasune, and Road of Resistance (live in Japan). Stick with it after the first one, I think you will love them.

What I genuinely enjoy about your Band Maid reactions is that I can watch and read your eyes and your facial expressions during the songs, and I notice you when you are either just impressed by a certain transition or a really good Harmony, or by essentially the same exact things that mostly I identify still to this day with Play. And that's the whole psychological gist of these reaction videos right 👍? Why they are so popular. It's due to a part of our brain that connects with visually watching others enjoy or find the same thing about something like BM maid Song/ video, and feeling possibly validated in a way, or connecting or bonding on a human level with the reactor, all things that are positive. Now me personally I just enjoy your reactions because you get more views on yours then mine( asshole!) So I'm trying to copy your secret formula! I'm totally jk 😊, your reactions are just great and this is my favorite band so when you pop up in my feed I just always end up watching you. You should react to Band Maid " Onset" if you haven't already my friend, and you should do some LISA I think you would dig her, she is more poppy but she has great stage presence and she is a excellent entertainer live, much more polished than Saiki.

Most Band Maid shows were sold out (small venues) They are opening for Guns N Roses on their European tour Maybe they come back after

BTW -- what you REALLY need to react to is "BAND-MAIKO / 祇園町 "Gion-cho" (Official Music Video)" It is the only band that can compete with BAND-MAID! 🤪🤗☺
