Hello Miss Beautiful, oops, I mean Brewtiful. I hope you are having a wonderful day! I think you should know that Band Maid has around 120 to 130 songs in their discography, so it might take a bit to get through all of them. If you are interested in learning more about the band members, Ohrenje has some well researched biographies on his KZfaq channel of each of the members that usually run from about 20 to 30 minutes long each, except for Miku Kobato's documentary which he had to split into three parts. Miku is the rhythm guitarist/backing vocalist that wears a red rose in her headdress/bonnet and she writes the majority of the lyrics. One video you definitely will love is their performance at Lollapalooza last summer and specifically the songs "Dice" and "Hate?" where they did a special version of "Hate?". The drum solo between the two songs is really awesome, but the solo section of "Hate?" is something you will really love. Please take care and have a wonderful day.

Yes, they are solid flesh and quite lovely too! I know as I've seen them 4 times in person! These live video are very good but actually seeing them live is amazing. They just don't play their music to you....they entertain and engage with you on an almost personal level! It's not just another music concert..it's a real life experience that leaves you exhausted and in a daze for several days! I highly recommend you to take the time and travel trip to see them live in concert if they come near your home...you will not regret the effort! From Japan, thank you for the reaction of BAND-MAID. Miku Kobato of Red Rose writes the lyrics for their songs. Miku was born in Kumamoto, a large city on the western edge of Japan, and is the founder of the band, who dropped out of the local public university after one year and moved to Tokyo to become a singer. She looks very cute and is known as a strong-willed and intelligent woman. Her vocal song Sayonakidori ( Nightingale : The little night-singing bird ) is known as a song inspired by Romeo and Juliet. Please give it a listen. The official video is an acoustic version performed by Miku, Akane, and Misa.

They are this good because they work on improving constantly, for hours a day typically. All of them. They do use a click track to sharpen their timing - except bassist Misa, who typically kicks off her shoes to feel Akane's drumbeats through the floor. Misa at one point early on, was learning and practicing slap bass so intensely she developed bleeding blisters. THEN they got a notification that studio time was available. So... she went in and played ANYWAY. The Miku Pigeon who started the band is a fine rhythm guitarist these days. Ten years ago she hadn't even picked up a guitar. She has been coached the whole time by guitar phenom Kanami (herself self-taught) and often practiced 8 hour days to develop her guitar skills. That tends to make one sensitive to ease of action - which became a pivotal reason for switching from Rickenbacker to Zemaitis. She is now one of their best advertisements. Each and every member has studied and put in tremendous work to get the skills down for their art to shine. That is their "secret." And they're still pushing forward.

Welcome back to Band Maid 😊 So glad you did the live version 👍🏽 These ladies almost always outshine the studio tracks. Especially in person, omg. Please find a way to see them someday. Very good analysis about the balance in their songwriting. Nobody takes it easy; each member is contributing their special talents in every song. Where to go from here? Exploring the Band Maid catalog is a never ending story. So much variety! “Daydreaming” is a midtempo ballad-sorta with one of Kanami’s best solos. For lyrics? I’m sending you to “Puzzle,” official live. Love to hear your thoughts on that. How about something even more rock-tastic headbanging epic? “Moratorium,” live live live! Ask other Maidiacs their opinion on this song. I bet it’s in everyone’s top ten Looking forward to my next Brewtiful notification 🔔

They are too good for most of humanity, but they are, in fact, people. I've seen them from two-feet away and talked to each of them -- twice, back when they still had Meet-and-Greets. In fact, as I emphatically said to Misa, "Oh my Goodness, Misa -- you're REAL (that cracked her-up)!

Saiki is not the only one singing to you. Kanami's guitar is singing to you as well. The rhythm section of Misa (Bass) and Akane (Drums) driving it all forward.

The way the floppy old pigeon is entering with harmonics (often on syncopated phrases or even every other word at times) is indeed a huge part of the soundscape of Band-Maid. She will fall in and harmonize only 2 or 3 words of a line of the lyrics. I can not really name a single band who ever did this so consciously as BM. These days she is doing opposite harmonics to Kanami turning into Minhcu frenetically on her guitar while also vocally harmonising with Saiki. The young woman who had an idea created a band and instantly demoted herself from the role she had designed for herself is turning into a beast of a musician as she now fills the gaping hole left when Akane, Misa and Kanami all go on insane solo detours in the middle of a song (just mentioning Hate and Black Hole).

Their video of DICE & HATE at Lollapaloosa will definitely get your attention!!!!! Kanami loves Carlos Santana and he said (If you are going to play music make it something that the people feel not just hear) so that is how Kanami writes her music!!!!!

Well, I've seen them in person twice (not CLOSE to enough, BTW) which doesn't necessarily prove they're human, but I wasn't even convinced The Maids were REAL until my first live serving, so they're not AI. Maybe super-human is a more apt description. Edit: Take out the word "maybe" from the previous sentence. Thanks Brewtiful! 🕊

I added. I've played it every time since then on stage. The lead guitar, bass, and drums have the best technique! Of course, the lead vocals, sub vocals, and side guitar are also great. In short, Bandmaid is one of the world's best rock groups.

The best way to celebrate 5 k subs is to join the Maidiacs quest to get the video Thrill up to 20 million views before its 8 year anniversary. Thrill is the video that saved their careers. When Band Maid write their songs, they write to serve the song.

I'm sensing this song is of a virtual relationship, not just an online one. Virtual doll = avatar. Mouse click, glitch... this is a relationship built through two players in a video game, kind of like the movie "Free Guy" (without one participant actually being an AI controlled NPC).

Well, 3 are "human." Akane is a Gorilla and Miku is a pigeon. And yes, they do have sub par songs, but they are still better than most other bands best. The Dragon Cries and Start Over are not 10s in my book, but they ain't 7s either. And out of almost 150 songs, that ain't bad

Can you tell, if you just listened to it (no video)? AI couldn't hold a candle to these ladies! The autotune alone would ruin everything. These ladies are the real deal! Go to a concert of theirs (if you can get a ticket as they sell out quickly) The equipment you see in the videos is the equipment they use at their concerts. No backing tracks - overdubs - autotune with these ladies.

Daydreaming is a popular no-brainer, but I find Mirage has a special magic that seeps into you. Absolutely love that song and a criminally underrated hidden gem.

There are many unique aspects to Real Existence that sets it apart from many rock songs: the starts and stops, Miku's little breakout vocal line, Akane's double tempo gallop, and Kamani's solo. I mean, who would ever put that kind of solo in a rock song? But it works... just like all of the plot-twists, complex density, and genre-merging they employ on most of their material. Every section offers something different than the previous one. That's one reason many people -- unless you're a musician - may find it difficult to get into their music at first listen. As tightly integrated as it is, there's so much going on. And then you add the Japanese language and maid outfits... But for people who like and appreciate their writing, musicianship, performance and personalities, Band-Maid's beautiful cacophony of excellence offers unlimited rewards for repeat listening... and mega stardom for the Maids, imxo. Oh yeah... and BRAVO Band-Maid 2022 & 2023 USA TOURS ending at the 16,000 seat Yokohama Stadium on Nov 26, and the 1,800 seat MacPherson Stadium, Mongkok, Hong Kong Dec. 21! Thx, Brew!

Well, Miku is a pigeon, but apart from that they are all real. AI isn’t that good. AI doesn’t have that kind of creativity. This is Band-Maid, this will not be your favorite next week, it’ll be another one. One of my favorites is Clang, or is it Domination? Bubble? Shambles? It doesn’t really matter, I can listen to them all. 😊 If you like solos you need more Nemophila in your life.

No I'm 80% sure they're Human, I've seen Kanami sour a note by mistake, Akane drop a stick, Miku trip on cables all the time. All the mistakes that a good AI would simulate, although MISA I'm sure is a bot.

Are they human?!? Well, Akane is half-human ... and half-gorilla. Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Kanami twists the gain knob to transform from mild mannered to mincho metal maestra. More investigation is needed.
