That's the Misa-howl you're hearing. She does this in several Maiko versions.

Song title of original version is in English “screaming”, but for BAND-MAIKO version, it is written in Japanese hiragana as “すくりーみんぐ”.

Thanks for the info! If the KZfaq version had that in the title, I probably would've copy pasted it because I definitely don't know how to make those characters on an English keyboard! Thanks again!

As a heads up-- for a limited time only-- Band-Maid released the acoustic version of "Sayonsakadori" (sorry guys but going off of phonetic memory) from their Xmas show. It is 100% Miku singing. Check it out before it checks out.

This is on par with the original but adds plenty of traditional Japanese flavor to it. Love this song. What I like is that for as energetic as the song is, it’s not just constantly at 100 the entire time, but it has a flow and tells a story with the tempo. Super high energy but still manages to have highs and lows.

The thing I appreciate a lot from them is that they didn't only change the sound of the songs but also added a lot of new lyrics to the songs.....

@@GlassMoonGaming In their Maiko songs they sing in Kyoto dialect. In fact many Japanese people don't understand it!

@@Davey-Boyd The industry jargon in the Hanamachi leisure district used in the MIKO songs is certainly not at all familiar to many Japanese. However, I think that is a somewhat exaggeration, since the Kyoto "dialect" is structurally Japanese itself, and is also a relatively well-known dialect. This is, of course, just in another dimension from trying to understand them properly in order to sing them, as SAIKI mentioned in interviews about the difficulties she had in recording them.

The variety of types and styles with their music underlines the control they have of their music. No MBA corporate bureaucrat in sight!! How many bands have you watched that never do anything outside a very narrow music style that dies quickly?? All of them sing but they don't want to. Kanami was quoted saying she wanted to be in a band so she didn't have to sing. Do you think they had a WOOA try out?? Love MISA!!
