Nami harnessing powers of clouds and lightening is so good, especially since she's a navigator! Poor Koza, boy keeps getting shot 😅 Zoro cuts through steel! Every other arc, just when you swerve to someone else as your favourite character, Zoro reminds you why you can't do that!

Zoro and Nami deserve medals for their battles, i'm so proud of them :') Vivi's voice actor deserve a raise, you can feel the angst and despair from miles away.... Love the reactions as always :D you guys are so into the story, there's no turning back now kkkkkkk

For real my favorite Nami fight in the series. I love her dedication to Vivi in this fight. I think she sees a little of herself in Vivi and the problems Nami dealt with. Especially the feelings of having to put yourself at risk for everyone she loves without anyone else to lean on. I like to believe Nami wanted to do what Luffy and the others did for her, she wanted to be apart of the battle that saved Vivi because she wanted to pay forward what Luffy and the others did for her. Idk there’s so much to that fight like with how it demonstrated just how incredibly smart Nami is, but that’s just something i always contemplate during her declaration at the end. I love Zoro’s fight and it really shows off how Oda tells a story. Mihawk was a relevantly long time ago but this victory felt like Zoro’s first step toward his goal after the loss with Mihawk. It was both the conclusion to that battle, and the first step in the long process of becoming the the world’s greatest swordsman. In the East blue he was just a big fish, not growing, just drifting, but in the Grandline he’s truly swimming up river and is beginning to grow again!

I like Nami's fight and i love the potential of the clima tact. My only gripe with the anime version is that they stretched it out a bit too much, making Miss Doublefinger look a bit too incompetent with the amount of times she just stood there, letting Nami play around with her weapon😅

Mr 1's Dice Dice Fruit (Supa Supa No Mi) Attacks all have a 'Sp' (Supa) sound in them: Sparkling Daisy (Suparkling Daisy), Spider (Supider), Spiral Hollow (Supiral Hollow), etc.

I think Brandon hit it on the nail. This battle is so frustrating because every time you think there's win. Something else happens to drive it back. Oda did such a great job weaving this story. Remember Zoro promised to never lose again! This is also where we start getting the world building. The world govt and Crocodile's plan to take it over with this weapon. The mention of the Ponegliyphs. I'm glad you're watching the cover stories. I'd like to see your reaction to them! Great job guys!

Man, watching your reaction and realizing everything is connected to current manga events makes this series that much greater. Oda be weaving his story threads.

Here we go towards the finale of Alabasta and onward to even better arcs along the way!

alabasta This arc is full of political conflict, epic battles, and deep sacrifice. Here Crocodile's role is extraordinary as a criminal who is very cunning and full of strategies for his own ambitions of Pluton weapons... government, navy, kingdom, shicibukai, pirates... all cool writing by Oda.

i also got chills at Zoro's fight, basically used a Destroyer attack like in the Guilty Gear games, and rather than use 3 swords, Kuina's blade was all that was needed. it really seemed like a dumb thing to me, that Oda would bring in these Elite Guards, have them dope up on some mysterious "Fatal Fuel" and die after launching a single attack, totally agreeing with Crocodile on his take.

Zoro had a W against another swordsman whom is Hachi well I guess you can call him another swordsman since he did use 6 sword style.

Totally get where Jonathan and Zach are coming from, the sword lore is something quite curious hey....Hopelly Oda develops that story plot. Anythoughts on what the blases being cursed means or implies? Reckon the swords have "special powers"? Seeing Zoro worry about Luffy felt unnerving because seeing Zoro concerned about a battle either him, Luffy, or Sanji are in is a first hey, and throws one for a loop. So do you guys think the weapon actually exists? If so, what role do you think it will/could play in the story moving forward, if any at all? Bet no one saw "spike spike doping coming" huh?😂😂 "This is nothing. It doesn't hurt at all!! Do you have any idea what pain she's been through?" Seeing the girl who avoided having friends for 8 years straight, watched as her new friends fight to the death for her, and now she is a pirate fighting for a friend who is fighting for their home like she did is truly such great writing from Oda. This is one of my favourite Nami moments. Also, her eyes!! Yet again Oda uses Nami's eyes so well whenever ihe draws her. I love how there is a consistent through-line with all characters that are swordsmen through and through/who follow the bushido way. An example being what Zoro's sensei says in this episode and what Mihawk said in episode 24 when he spoke of how true swordsmanship is not necessarily rooted in brute strength or power. That "Itoryu Iai - Shishisonson", followed by the silence and the bird chirping is just- Really does give you chills, doesn't it, Brannon? Crocodile is soooo petty and sooo effective😭😭😭😂😂😂.
