The more I rewatch the older episodes the more I appreciate Zoro. I notice a lot more little things about how he intracts with the crew. Always acting like a big brother to them especially Usopp (and Chopper and Luffy). It's like he always watches over them silently and helps whenever he's needed without a word said -- I'm refering to the downtimes when they're just hanging out or doing shenanigans, or the part where he carried Dalton but didn't tease Usopp about it. Man, I love the crew 😊 they actually remind me of my siblings so much.

Chopper is a lot of things, a Reindeer, who's a Doctor, who can transform into 7 different forms, is the youngest of the Straw Hats (15) and is unofficially the mascot of One Piece. second fave Straw Hat behind Zoro for me, hopefully he'll grow on you guys as much.

I was okay until Dr Hiriluk's last flashback where he says Thank you Chopper, which really got me. The voice acting from his VA, is just so good. After hearing her saying Pika Pikachu for so long, this was an opportunity for the fans to see the ranges of emotions she could bring to life, added with how powerful this arc was.. Its an epic story! As usual, loved watching this reaction lads. Onto the next!

Kureha testing to see if leaving out to sea was really something that Chopper wanted, gets me every time. From her viewpoint it really sounds like Luffy and the gang were just roping him in to this "fantasy" opportunity, but having to go through her really showed his resolve. And as a side mention, I'd like to think that the reason why Wapol survived Luffy's initial launch of him to the sea could be because he ate those couple pieces of Merry, thus giving him the material to create some kind of liferaft for him if he actually landed in to the sea! For a silly, uncurable antagonist, Wapol was very interesting in terms of ability. (And jokes.) Here's to more One Piece! 🏴‍☠🌸

I am talking me here, but OP is such a great series to do a cathartic bawl out .... and seeing people (in the verse) of all walks of life "ugly cry" is also very liberating. as for Kureha, with 139y under her belt, one can assume that she had her fair share of loss and hurt, long before even Hiruluk appeared in her life.

Sanji's chivalry for all ladies, and how his emotional intelligence is centred around his gentle servitude and loyalty to those he cares about is one of my favourite things. Also, isn't it crazy how the girl (Nami) who didn't want those she cared about to fight is the same person who can now put her trust in others while she takes much needed rest? Growth! "Nothing is impossible for the man who raised a flag with a skull!". I love how quickly Cody caught on to what Luffy was doing, he really is a legend. My favourite character in all of fiction man. "...but since this flag is a person's pledge to risk his life, it's not raised as a joke! This flag isn't something you can just break while laughing foolishly! The skull is a mark of faith"...So cool!!! In episode 1 he told Koby he has decided to be the King of the Pirates, and if he loses while fighting for that, he is fine with that. Chopper's wails are really that of a little kid. They are heartbreaking😭😭😭 ." Doctor....Doctrine!"💔💔😭😭😭 Arigato-yo, Chopper! Jonathan's being emotional makes a lot of sense. There are many tears on the way, and the ost really does enhance those moments. Till the next drop

Alabasta is the next level up from where we have been so far. The crew is getting sizeable, but we have our next truly threatening opponent now.

I love Choppers arc, its so impactful, from Luffy tanking a cannonball hit just to make a point about pirates and the meaning behind placing a flag to the reveal of the drum mountains and pink snow combining to become cherry blossom trees. It's all so amazing. just an excellent arc overall.

I remember somewhere in japan a person got cancer, and was announced 4th stage with no hope, but somehow that person saw a sakura tree, and changed his life, and cure from the cancer, due to positivity changes his health condition or some sort, something like that. I think that person what represents Dr Hiruluk is, he was sick and dying even before meeting Chopper, and he somehow survive due to the sakura story, so he was hoping the country would see the thing that cure him as well. The country sickness is about a dumb king and corrupted system, isolating the health care of drum island, and all Hirukuk wanted is to give the country a change to have hope like he had before. At least that my interpretation on this backstory.

Wapol and Chopper shows how Devil fruits really work unlike in other shows Devil fruits works within concept meaning they can perform things that you wouldn't think of but is possible through what they can do, Like Chopper learning how to reconfigure his forms via drug and Wapol eating himself and munching away his fat, all their abilities are possible as long as the concept of the fruit ability allows it.

I'm so glad I'm rewatching One Piece with you guys, I've noticed some things that could be mentioned in future episodes. Tony Tony Chopper is so good and he can do some pretty crazy things. I love the small scene where Sanji tells Chopper not to worry because Luffy is a Monster. It puts everything in a different perspective for Chopper. There are couple behind the scenes videos of One Piece voice actors recording their performance and that Luffy inviting Chopper scene is also shown in there. Though the scene shown there is not from the TV series but from Movie 9, the remake of that arc, which came out way later and with new animation. I thought it would be something interesting to check out sometime later. But don't watch it now because it the video contains scenes and characters from future arcs. Just keep it in mind about behind the scenes one piece for now :) P. S. Nice timing. It's sakura blossom season right now in Japan.
