I just recently obtained my original Gerard. Took a long time to finally have it on retail here. I thought you were kinda exaggerating on how good of a vinyl figure it is. But boy howdy was I wrong. I'm surprised how sharp the details are throughout the body. Kinda felt like touching a braille. I would expect vinyl figures to toned down the sculpts a bit, smoothen them up. Other MMS I own and saw kinda does that. This one kinda reminds me of the old Bandai America vinyls. I used to own Mothra, Gigan, and 54 Goji. They kinda have similar sharpness of surface detail iirc. Gerard is one of my fav vinyl figures, and maybe even the best I've ever owned. $20 well spent
