Never a day too late for Shin Godzilla day. This set is awesome as it really brings out the amazing details on the figures and Shin's overall creepiness.

Very much agreed. I only wish, that for Shin’s 10th we’ll see a heavy repaint for Shin in the style of Kamata Kun and Shinagawa Kun.. that would truly just be the bees knees!

My only misgiving about this set is that they should have included a regular unfrozen shin with proper paint application. The only release that comes close is the USJ Eva Shin, but good luck finding that. About the price, you can find this set for below 100 even taking into account import fees if you know where to look.

I’m sure the standard Heavy Paint Shin Godzilla will come eventually. It’s all they can really do at this point.. unless they take the route of Hedorah with him, which I doubt, with Minus One coming along and all. Someone mentioned YahooJPN auctions is a good place to find the set for a fair price. Anywhere else you’d recommend?

@@ShinRobjira Japanese Mecari as well, in general I avoid ebay for import stuff because its vastly inflated. Regarding MMS Shin, they're already taking the route of Hedorah with all the various 'flavor' re-releases. There's been several translucents and the atomic radiation releases (2 or 3 I think). I feel if they were going to properly paint the original mold they would have done so long ago.

Tbh this shows Bandai can paint Movie Monster Series figures with tons of detail and then they still make Heisi Mothra, Monster X, and Keizer Ghidorah.

Another good review for a set I debated on getting but backed out because the only one I was interested in was the Frozen Godzilla since I had the other two forms from the mainline MMS series (Which the moonlight version I serve as my cope as well as the Godzilla statue version.). Also curious if you got ahold of the remaining bandai MMS Shin Godzilla like the Universal Studios Japan Godzilla x Evangelion one.

@@ShinRobjiraI managed to win mine from Ebay and he came yesterday and, if you do get him you can compare him with your other red glittery boy. Personally I like the metallic version better. Now we know what a Skinned Shin would look like.

From what I’ve seen of the SHMA counterparts.. eeuuughhhhhh.. Kamata Kun looks cool. Dunno why Shinagawa Kun was so.. not.. burgundy. It was a choice I’m sure lol Would still love to own em one day!

Okay this may be a bit of a hot take but, I don't see why bandai figures are so expensive. They don't look the best in my opinion and just for a little more you can get much better figures
