You can get these on Amazon for about $15 a kit. Some are crazy expensive but you also have to careful you are not looking at the larger scale versions (that are 12”-24” in size). Generally the 2199 ships are what one would want for gaming and are around 3”-6” depending on the ship.

Good idea to focus on the 2199 models. Detail is higher also.

I never thought of using these kind of kits in my games...seems kind of obvious in hindsight. O.o

Got a few of these kits for gaming as well. Still on the to do list though.

I've got loads of the older versions of these, but the new ones are nicer... more detailed, and with the dual colored plastic.

Yes some of the older ones are less detailed. They are a bit expensive I think if you wanted a fleet but very nice for modelling.

Don't go look at ebay... I did... still sweating.... some of the sets go for insane amounts... oO ali express is a bit better

They do tend to start at around $10 for one and go up to very high levels. However look for the newer kits, the old retro ones 10+ years old can go for $60+ but they are not that great IMHO, the older they are the less detail on them. Still lovely models but for detail the newer releases look sharper.

They should be around $5 each. The issue is that shipping from Japan is crazy expensive at the moment. $20-30 or more for even one small box.

@RedKing Yeah, but the $20 shipping was 3 month by ship with no tracking... I think it was $40 for 1-2 week with tracking, still better than ebay prices if you by enough without getting too heavy.

Ouch that is a long wait. I do sometimes see them here in the UK but mostly they are Japan based.
