Bang was an internationally successful greek pop duo consisting of Thanos Kalliris and Vassilis (Billy) Dertilis. In their six year tenure, throughout '85-'91, they managed to work with big-name producers, score some UK and US hits and perform in Japan and in the States.
Bang's first breakthrough domestic hit was "Στοπ" ("Stop"), a song which was the Greek entry in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1987. "Love Me Tonight" is the rare first version of that song, a version that although the band played live in their early days when they were still a trio, with Michalis Kapoulas also in the fold, and eventually recorded in 1986, never appeared in any of their albums or singles. The lyrics are even different from the English version of "Στοπ" that can be found in their debut album and as a b-side in the "Stop" single, and by different I don't mean just the chorus.
