Hello, i wanted to thank you for this video. You showed me how to open up my 47 year old turntable in order to find out what was causing the terrible rumble. Turned out the rubber on the idler wheel had hardened, causing rumble. No one is presently selling replacement wheels, but I did find someone who rebuilds them. Now the turntable is working fine.

This so reminded me of long ago when my Dad would do this sort of job. It was very interesting, and in the end, you found out it had a worn-out part.

You should've loosened the transport screws. Did the cartridge survive?

The transport screws fully loosened and testing was not filmed, Cartridge was working surprisingly, but would have been replaced had the idler roller shaft not been worn 45% below a new idler roller hole dimensions. All the play was coming from the shaft, So the repair cost restrictions set before and after was the owners decision.

Not mine to sell, it's back with the owner as B.E.R. as to much movement in the jockey wheel assembly & mounting shaft, all needed replacing as well as the motor. The ebay price from America including P&P at the time was £75 for a fully functioning Deck
