I have a pair of BL1 but they are first generation pre-production samples. They've never failed until one of them started having some issue with outputting noise even when not in use a few weeks ago. This video makes me want to refresh them with new capacitors, removing the bad foam or whatever makes sense. Even very expensive audiophile speakers of today lack the beauty and care for the detailed mechanical design and material quality of these speakers and I wonder if there is a path to make them even sound better. For example, I could drive those speaker drivers with some external amps and use a miniDSP box to do the cross-over filtering and optimization. But such project would only make sense if the speaker drivers themselves are of high enough quality. Any ideas?

Hi Ihsan, thank you for the video. When rebuilding the BL1, especially the part where the heatsink is, do you re-apply heat sink paste? And you said the mainboard needed mainenance, is that carefully cleaning the board? Hope to hear from you.

Hello. One of loudspeakers of my B&O LAB1 always turns red . Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue? Thank you.

My beolab 1’s went into protection mode both at the same time after playing Spotify at level 78 through surround module on Beovision7, meaning the only light red, they do not react to any signal, all other speakers are still fine, is there anything besides unplugging I could do my self to make the light green again😊
