Bangor Cathedral by Air - St Deiniol's Cathedral - Original Monastary Founded in AD 525

Bangor Cathedral (or Eglwys Gadeiriol Bangor), is an absolutely remarkable building. We are not church going, or even religious people, but we do appreciate the history, and architecture of church buildings. This one is very pretty.
It's unmissable if you drive around one of Bangor's one way systems in Gwynedd, and then through the High Street. It was originally founded as a monastary in AD 525 by Saint Deiniol, and Consecrated in AD 526. None of the original building exists after it was sacked in both 634 and 1073.
The building today is a result of major work being carried out from 1868 onwards. There's way too much information to put here, so we will link to the Cathedral's Wiki page just below.

Another brilliant video Emma. Just perfect as always, even down to the music tracks you use. Again, yours are the only videos I can watch, start to finish. Thank you and I will look forward to the next one. Shame the weather was bad last week for the Emerald Princess

Thanks so much. Thanks for watching from start to finish, I do hope if people can it will do something for the channel over time, but it's slow going to be honest. I really appreciate the positive support. Yes definitely, it was a shame about the weather with the Emerald Princess. We were also 'stuck' building a Racing Teapot for one of our other projects, and for an event last weekend, so we were held up anyway unfortunately. The Emerald Princess looks to be back on the 8th Oct at 7am
