We agree that they do taste good but we practice catch and release primarily on trophy sized fish. Only keep an occasional smaller one for the table!

You can catch lots of 15 inch ones to eat but if they're big you want to release them for the spawn and so they can get bigger

Anyone can't catch them on bank poles not secret tactics to that lol let's see you put big flatheads in the boat on rod and reel then you can call yourself a fisherman
