On top of my previous comment, addendum, for every single vehicle that has a winch, You NEED a snatch block pulley and @ least 3 (4-5 would be better) 24+inch stakes (the kind used for concrete forms) and then when in a situation where there aren't any good anchor points, you can make your own! Also, small-ish 'D' handled shovels in previously said vehicles, thus one can dig an angled trench, stuff a log in said trench, and secure your winch-line to said log and thus create an earth anchor.! And yes it does work....I have been there and done that! Litterally!

Flair my guy, a small hack for castnetting we do down here in Mexico that works with carp is to throw a small pebble/rock where you are going to throw the net, the fish thinks it's a insect that fell in or a small fish splashing and go to it, them bam!!

Hey man just a lil tip. When your throwing a small cast net like the one you were throwing grab the top of the yolk and then put one weight in the hand with the yolk and with the other hand reach down and grab another weight and pull it to the side and then throw it and it should be a perfect pancake I’m from NC and I use cast nets all the time to catch bait

Add a bit of oil to the pan along with the butter and it’ll help keep it from burning. The butter burnt that’s why the middle didn’t cook all the way through. Keep it up though I love seeing CCC’s with new stuff and new methods

Heres a pro tip for ya fellers , if ya put about a table spoon or two of oil in with your butter it should help the butter not burn so bad...... Because you want the pan screaming for blackened.... ALSO cast iron works 100 times better for blackened.

I have a 3 foot cast net just like this a tip is when you grab the yolk instead of folding it like you were since it’s such a small net grab the yolk and don’t fold it and then grab that little black rope you put in your mouth then grab weight an arm’s links distance apart and just kind a like spin and throw

Flair, you really need to try blackened fish tacos with sweet Asian chili sauce!! Blacken the fish just like you did, then in a tortilla add the fish, lettuce, and sweet Asian chili sauce!! The sweet with the flavor of the blackened fish is absolutely amazing!!

Next time when you cook it, you sear the outside of the fish which like you did to form the crust hence blackend, then finish it off inside the oven for 2 to 3 mins like 350 to 375 degrees, comes out mint! Also catfish nuggies next time too! Great to see you have such a great trip on the river this year for the first trip! #sheeeeeeeewwwwwww
