I was a supervisor in one of the buildings that Banky was housed. Hes a good guy and it makes my heart smile to see the guys get out who deserve it. There is alot who need to be out here doing just what Banky is doing. Keep up the great work Banky and contiue on that path. Im so proud of you!!! 😁😁😁🙏🙏

Hey Banky my name is Brenda Bey I am a Moor woman and have done in all about 22 yrs. myself in these dismal crypts. I also did time in VA. if not mistaken did you do most of your time there as well. I got big laughs checking out your hookups I was point an doing the microwave when I was in I really got better once I got to the Feds. Yeah man it's a new world out here in the Free I bet the first thing that amazed you was everybody had cell phones even toddlers it seems. I live in DC and havent seen inside of a jail since 2006 which is amazing for me. I am now 67 yrs young and figured I would leave all that notorious mess for these young ones out here. I do know that they haven't inherited the ppl we knew or the old skool principles we lived by. I salute you my brother keep on keeping on! 😁 ❤️

I can relate to him on seeing a child when they are little and years later they are grown. I lost custody of my son due to my drug addiction and failure as a parent to be responsible for myself and my son. He stayed with my mom back and forth until he was 8 years old. My son went to live with his dad at 8 years old. I did not see him even from pictures. When he was 16 he ran away and jumped on a Greyhound bus to come see me 2000 miles away. He was a little boy the last time I saw him. Then I saw him at 16 and he was over 6 feet tall and a man. All I could do was cry and hold him. I had gotten clean and sober by that time around 3 years. Now I have 15. Had I not got clean and sober I doubt he would have ever forgiven me and come back to me to be a part of my life. I can never replace those lost years or the years that he was in my life and I took him for granted. I only ever thought about myself back then. Now all of my children are my world and nothing else matters.

Damn that’s crazy , I’ve been in the same position as your son. All I can say is he probably understands what happened as he got older and it may hurt , but now that you are in his life he know you love him and that the more time you spend in his life the pain he will feel from his past . Congrats on sobriety just keep on doing what you’re doing !

Thats why i said that, youre basically implying he's not how he seems and we only see him on camera a small percentage of his day and life so he could show a different side somewhere else at times. But in jail there is no where to hide or have privacy so they'll see the true side of him sooner or later he cant go anywhere and show a different side of himself in jail they'd know if he did. You could be at school or work leave be in a different setting then act different in jail there's nowhere to go so they'd know his true character better than anyone at this point he spent decades being monitored and documented by them. Real brother right here, very humble after 33 yrs. I've never seen anyone as relaxed and comfortable to explain pain in your testimony. The world need more people like you. Your testimony will help a lot people whether it's life after being incarcerated or the road/life to being incarcerated. I’ve watched hours of motivational and personal development stuff and have read hundreds of books over the years and I swear this interview with this man brings out more truth about life and what’s what’s than anything I’ve ever seen. I’m speechless. Great work getting these words documented and out here for others to learn from. The people that need to hear it the most aren’t even in prison.

Damn right. My uncle was always in the fed here and in Mexico I would go visit him as a kid and I would hate it I always wanted him to come home with us. He got out when I was 16 I would go see him when I was small around 4 or 5. He passed 3 years ago the day before my son was born he never got to meet my kids that man was solid. A real good man and he'd always speak to you the truth always told you to stay out of prison to always think twice never react on emotion.

Banky is right up there with Shannon and Rabbit as my 3 favorite, success stories/people you have ever brought on as a member of APS!! Banky has soo much motivation, love, and wisdom to share with the world after doing 33 yrs!!! I sure hope my brother comes back home like this!! He is 28 yrs of 30 and can't wait to get him home with those of us who love him more than anything!!!

Had 2 riots pop off in my dorm in 2008 while at Turbeville . The amount of psychological abuse that was done while locked down 24-7 getting one sandwich a day , no rec , no shower , no phone , no mail. We was locked down 2 months like that. I even choked my roommate out for messing with my food. I'm non violent but that turned me into an animal

Having all these people watching can put a lot of unnecessary pressure on you, don’t let it get to ya. I only done 3 years in the state pen but it took me a good year to get going again. To all you guys talking about the crime he committed need to chill. This man paid his debt and deserves a second chance to live a (normal) life. We should want people to succeed when they are released, we need examples for others to follow so 99% of us don’t keep going back.
