Bannerlord Solo-Person World Conquest Challenge 1-2

In this challenge campaign, I'll be conquering the entire world without using any units, army or vassals - only my main character.
Rules for the campaign:
- Cannot command units in battle (no leading
own/allied troops - garrison for defense ok)
- Executions can only be used as a Last
Resort (my goal is to not execute a single person)
- Retreat from battle is allowed, but cannot
restock ammo (arrows/javs must be swapped
out for different gear set)
- No smithing for profit allowed, only weapons for personal use
- No hiring companions or spouse (not even as governor)
- Being vassal allowed, but cannot have vassals as a king
- No exploits of any kind allowed (influence glitching, etc.)
- Some cheese allowed... maybe...

I'd mock his "one guy just took out a couple hundred or more" battles, But I'm old, and recall the 1993 Star Wars "X-Wing" game. One of the earlier missions, you had to use an A-wing with concussion missiles to "scout" and identify the cargo of 10 freighters (Correlian Corvettes). Three Neb B frigates and a Star Destroyer showing up over time to try to rush the mission along, And they'd all drop off wave after wave of fighters once they showed up (24 per Neb-B and 50ish for the Destroyer in total if you fought them). If you destroyed a freighter without doing the scan, that would "fail" the mission, but leave you there... so you could fight for "free" and redo the mission if you didn't die. And keep your kill count, which was the only reason to do such a foolish thing. Many an afternoon was spent destroying 10 freighters, 120+ fighters, and the Star Destroyer itself (as you could get to it's rear and take out the shield generator domes). Taking out any (much less all) the Neb-B frigates was more of a challenge, as their shields were no joke and came back rapidly. And they didn't have the "dead zone" the Star Destroyer does where the engines are; so no safe parking shots allowed. But I did "Fail" the mission rarely and end up the only surviving ship in the system. Flying between the Neb-B Frigates to get them to shoot each other was vital (aside from not dying of course, which was tricky).

Shield wall + right archer placement + flanking enemies with your Horse. You will loose almost no man.

The circling and slashing tactic reminds me of solo farming sea raiders in warband with that long spiked club to take prisoners, loot and max renown doing it solo

The sheer amount of time and dedication it takes to this is insane, and you do something like this it seems like EVERY month, I really wish you got more recognition on here for your talents, and please don't stop making videos, you've kept me entertained this last year with all this amazing bannerlord content, I'm almost finished with all the achievements.

The victory neigh at 51:15 made watching the entire fight worthwhile. Unlikely, but surprisingly true all the same. And yes, I watched it more than once.

the soldiers probably don't block when you're in mele on a mount because if they were chasing you and blocking, they would never catch up to you since you slow down when you block.

I was actually thinking that a solo run series might be interesting just last week, tbh the fights are grueling to watch but I trust the process, keep at it champ 🙏🏻

The fights are stressful to watch. You're forcing the devs to make the game more realistic and difficult. Not that I mind, I can't do any of the combat myself anyway with my diability, just have to send in troops.

About the rocks.. 3D games use different meshes for collision, with a lot less polygons/vertices, for speed. Sometimes the collision mesh doesn't line up very well with the visual mesh and you get edges of objects like the rock that looks like things are going through it, instead the arrows are missing the collision mesh because it's not 1:1 with the visual mesh. /thingsyoudidntreallywanttoknow

35:35 "i know the devs are gonna watch this and are gonna patch it" yup, they did. in 1.2.8 now they always perfectly block every hit from a mounted player, especially if they have a one handed weapon. from my testing, it seems like the game is programmed to detect your input on the direction of the strike, and the ai will keep their guard in that same direction until you strike. i know it removes some cheese, but that's basically making the ai cheat because you can never respond as fast as a machine can, so they always have the upper hand

25:29 i think this is about the distance not the mount. Since they consider you far away and not a threat they lift their shield. Even in melee, the raise their shield only when you are close

Why dont you ever use highground like roofs? Especially in villages I think you can utilize some of them. ( jump from the cliff with a horse on top of a roof )

are you doing these challenges in vanilla, or do you have some mods on, like RBM etc? 7months too late but still. I'd love to see one where you can't use a bow and arrow/ranged weapons 😂 that would be painful

If your looking down, your left swing is extremely fast no matter the level

Late to this video series, but one neat trick to get a free hit in tournament 1v1 melee: - Just run straight at them, don't hold block, don't hold an attack, At the last second you can duke their first attack just as you get in range. Just quickly tap the backwards movement and they'll miss their first swing. That gives you plenty of time to get a swing of your own in. Another tip is that holding attacks for longer than necessary doesn't really help vs AI, they'll just keep their block up. It's better to short click the attack for minimal attack delay, usually is enough for me to get a free 1 or 2 hits in if it interrupts their attack pattern.

I'm surprised you haven't learned how to abuse ai on foot yet. If you run away, and let them swing while just out of range, u can always instantly turn around hit them right after, and they wont be able to block. In fact, in bannerlord online, staying just out of range on foot is the fastest way to kill packs of 45 looters. You can do it in under 3 minutes consistently.

You should also get a bit of extra reach if you circle clockwise, since you won't be attacking across your body. 51:41 What's going on here?

We'll get there eventually! I don't want to spoil it - but I use more than one method. Sometimes it's brute force though :)

@@StratPlays ok looking forward to it. When I scale a ladder if there is 20-30 enemy there they just beat me, and that’s with my army. Can’t imagine trying to solo it.

So if a shield breaks, AI pick one off the floor if ones available...but after throwing all your rocks, AI doesn't pick up a weapon? 'Taleworlds math' I guess 🤦‍♂
