My only real problem was/is blowing the chip set. I learned to turn on the radio. (Just cracking the volume switch) the voice is a quite loud. And no doubt kills the chip set. After loosing 2 sets I learned to sneak up the volume. And use a white marker for start. then turn the volume knob to 2/3 rotation. And then make that spot yellow. seems to work well. Haven't lost a chip set sense. You are right. cheep Cable. So I too am saving up for a red cable. Tks

It will only let me program channels 1-8. I can not alter the frequency beyond that

Hi there any chance do you know can you leave both radios on one channel ..so it would be like a phone call rather than having to push the button i read about the vox function but can't seem to get it working any help or link to a another video would be a great Help thanks ..just bought a set

I get an error message reading "Please check all connections and communications port settings" when I click "OK" on the data reading part of the process.

My baofeng, when I turn it on it will turn on but not let me call on it or say the station it's on

Do not try to change at VHF the new models due the radio will be demaged, I have 2 demaged the reception is that will be demage.

Using 888s software my new bao feng radios will not write stuck in chinese and factory settings. i have tried new software included which will not install and is all in chinese and the new cable does not seem compatible with my radios either. watched your video twice and dont see what im doing wrong. HELP Please
