@@machia-mw1lm wow so that's a bold statement, I assume by your comment you dont much about Hitler or Obama but yes it's TRUE words are one thing, but just please tell me your not one of those people who still believes he's not from America even after he showed his birth certificate, and he communicates very well you just have to listen, I'm not speaking as a Republican or Democrat alot of people say that as well yes he was a great speaker but if they were a lawyer with practice they could speak the same well it's like malcolm x and his Plymouth rock speech or JFK say ask not what your country can do for you or Lincoln and his 4 score and 7 years ago or Jefferson writing the declaration of independence or Washington and the bill of rights so I believe it's one thing to be a good speaker or talker but having passion in what you say and what you believe in, some people stand up for awhile and accomplish on or two things and then go ok I'm good but some keep moving forward as more things come their way, while others sit around judging while eating whoppers and oreos and doing nothing to play the game of politics I could say well it's better than trump but we don't need to go their and the whopper comment wasn't a shot at trump it's just obvious anyway, everyone says things or talks down things or people it seems but I find to move in a good direction in life find the positive in everything you can, and believe it, otherwise we surround ourselves with negativity and that causes tension to say the least then people say well be realistic but dreamers and imagination and drive and passion no matter how unrealistic it seems are the ones who make a difference as some come off tough or hard headed or strange or wierd or however people describe them but they didn't stop no matter how many nay sayers there were and guess what, not just America but worldwide you find the world is not flat, flight is possible at unimaginable speeds, the world waited for new book to be published every what 3 to six months with the printing press when now it's at our fingertips everything from science to movies to sound to computers to being able to facetime from America to London or Japan in your own leisure I can go on and in and on but there were always nay sayers who said it couldn't be done, the point is someone didn't back down even when 70 percent said no you can't and in history that happened alot someone stood tall whether politically or technologically or something like athletic or anything and said yes we can so the point of going from historical unity as its slowly improved time to time again when Irish and Chinese couldn't get equal pay we know women didn't get to vote for some time, so someone fought for everything we have small or big and yes some lie and some cheat but you find going out and talking to people face to face people are awesome without texting or social media just saying if we listen to the negative and begin to believe it to the extent where it becomes the reality that's where life gets sad, because the world is awesome and people are awesome and history does show one person can accomplish amazing things by saying yes we can

one of the best speakers in history. For him or against him,you must concur that Obama can give a speech. I like his ways of antithesis and pauses . Obama pauses at the right time. For me, those pauses are what makes me absorb his words so easily. Also,he keeps this calm rhythm as he speaks . I'm not Obama's biggest fan ,but even I have to say 'Obama can give a speech like no one alive .'

Obama always had consistent values and I respect that. The problem with Obama was that his methods changed during his presidency. The way Obama passed health reform in 2010 is different from the way Obama passed immigration reform in 2012. The way Obama dealt with Gaddafi in 2011 is different from the way he dealt with Assad in 2014. 2008-2011 Obama was good. 2012 he was okay. 2013-2015 he was kind of bad. 2016 he was okay. Edit: but with that being said, I would still happily take Obama at his worst over some other politician's best.

Even though I generally don't have favorable opinions about Obama's Presidency, I can't help but imagine how great of a leader he could have been in a less divided era of the American story.

On of America's Greatest moment was on that day. There is still a lot of problems in America, and in the world. But to think that a black man became president just over 40 years after the civil rights bills passed is remarkable. Now all Americans can believe that they can become great, and that is very powerful!
@88mike149 жыл бұрын
Why was our greatest moment on that day? Because Obama's black? That statement makes you rather racist. America is already great, in that we will overcome the tragedy that is Barack Obama. True, America has many problems. All can be traced directly back to liberalism.

I had to just rewatch this after hearing about the result of Trump. It brought the same sense of hope I had the first time. I am not American and understand I am not under the exact same government procedures, but it is far more important than one country. Its about justice, equality etc. As I am emotionally invested in the people I meet, I pray for anyone who is worried & in doubt about positive change. Keep all your heads high so that you can inspire and succeed, no matter which candidate is elected President of the United States of America in the future. ❤️

It is so so SO sad and moving to see and hear this 8 years later... I remember watching this speech at 5:30 AM (I'm in Spain) after staying up all night following the results... What a legendary president you chose, dear Americans. What a guy. This was history right up there in front of our noses, and now there's this loadshit of critics saying he's one of the worst presidents ever? Oh, you gotta be kidding or just fucking blind. This guy was and is extraordinary in so many senses and all I can hope for is that history finally remembers him as such. It's a shame that he eventually couldn't push forward gun legislation, Guantanamo and healthcare at full throttle. Anyway, from 12000 kms away, thank you all for choosing this black guy as your president for the last 8 years. Thank you for making this world a better place.

Tumelo Gaegake yes, he has nice face, and nice speech, but look at his actions.... how many innocent civilian people died under USA attacks, or US financed terrorrism since Obama has the power? This guy is a criminal, evil with angel face.
