Perhaps a little daunted by the challenges he inherited, Barack Obama was sworn in as America's first black president on January 20, 2009.

Trump doesn't look presidential on his best days. Likewise, he rarely sounds like a POUTS, as we know. You would think that an (overweight) billionaire would wear better-fitting and tailored suits. Instead, he looks sloppy in clothes seemingly from a clearance rack.

I admittedly feel old in stark comparison to numerous other millennials when this particular U.S. Presidential figure was initially elected into the scene, as I certainly do remember tuning into this particular event when it was showing on a plasma screen TV at my respective alma mater in which I attended college during my respective experiences growing up, which mind you, at this particular point, was under its last legs as SUNY Adirondack, and the alma mater in question that I currently reside from a roughly three miles away from the residence I currently reside in.

Obama took away my affordable health insurance (Obamacare), then he gave military weapons to the south American drug cartels (operation fast and furious), then he gave $1.7 billion in cash to Iran and allowed them to start enriching uranium (joint comprehensive plan of action). Then he cut funding for Israel's missile defense. Then he gave Syrian rebels training and weapons and Toyota's to fight Assad, (operation timber sycamore)(Syrian train and equip program) then the rebels magically became ISIS moved into northern Iraq displacing 400,000 people, so obama ordered a massive weapons drop to dead kurdish fighters that went straight to ISIS. That's kinda how I remember it.

It was a difficult time then, and it's a difficult time now. On that day in 2009, I was hosting a client from our marketing firm in NYC. I made a reservation at a place that was showing the inauguration and reserving tables. The place was packed....but it was silent. Everyone in there had their eyes glued to the TV, listening to every word. I never cared about politics. I DIDN'T care about politics. But so many of us wanted change, and Obama's words spoke to so many of us. I had tears streaming down my face at one point, and I couldn't believe how emotional I got. Welp, fast forward to today.....and I'm getting choked up all over again after everything we've been experiencing. I miss Obama. I miss having a President who knew what leadership meant. #VOTE
