FFF/FDM versions are typically larger and designed for filament printers with larger build volumes. DLP/SLA versions are smaller and optimized for resin printers with higher detail capabilities. Typically, FFF/FDM versions have more assembly parts designed for sturdiness and to handle the printing process well with rigid plastic materials. DLP/SLA versions, on the other hand, may have fewer parts with simpler connections, making assembly easier since resin prints are more delicate. While this Barad-dur model has the same number of parts that are identical in both versions, we still do not recommend downscaling the FFF/FDM version. Filament 3D printers struggle with tiny details on downscaled models, potentially leading to missing details or weak parts that are difficult to assemble.
