November 26, 2013 - 0900. VIA #1 westbound at Acheson, Alberta with two refurbished Budd RDC's trailing the park car. Destined for Jasper where they will be tested on The Skeena (Jasper - Prince Rupert). Credit and thanks to Terry from Can-Passenger-Rail for the complete consist information.

I love how in the rear view at the end they blend right into the rest of the consist as if they were part of the regular VIA#1 consist.

Great catch. It is really unfortunate if they switch to the RDC equipment on the Jasper-Rupert run. Need a dome car to take in all the splendid scenery

I have heard rumors that they will be testing them on the Jasper-Prince Rupert line for "if" service is returned to Vancouver Island.

Of course the people who paid the price to have access to the Park Car (Observation Car) were kind of limited to the dome. The rear observation part was pretty much useless. I'd be upset, at minimum.
