Hi Tina, good afternoon time in UK 18.13 Sunday, finished Sunday dinner, roast whole chicken with stuffing, mac and cheese, plain basmati rice, barbecue jerk wings, sweet potato and steam cabbage and carrots. @@Tinaraine Good morning Tinaraine. Glad everyone is doing fine. I definitely will let you know how they come out. The painters will be back here in a few hours and since I'm working from home I really don't feel like doing much after work. God willing, I'll get to fix back everything by Saturday and try to make the current rolls Sunday or Monday. I also have my raisins soaking in rum to try the rum and raisin ice cream. I found how to make vegan condense milk so I only need to get the vegan heavy cream and I'm all set to make it. Once I make it I'll post on that video. Thanks again for sharing your recipes!

@@avawarner8585 You can also use coconut cream, get a few cans of coconut milk put them in the refrigerator for a few mins, open can take off that white part on the top, bottom part you don't need save for another occasion. Thy that and see how you like it.

@@Tinaraine I made the current rolls yesterday and they came out fantastic. The only things I substituted were the egg wash (used organic Aquafaba - the liquid from Garbanzo beans) and vegan butter instead of regular butter. Oh, I added a ½ tsp. cinnamon to your recipe; I like cinnamon. Everyone likes the current rolls so you are not joking when you said: "that is so good"...LOL! - Rating of 10 of 10.

Seems easy to make. Currants are not a favourite of mine but since you used raisins will give it a try. Do you know how to Make Jam Puffs or Horseshoes?

Thank you Tina! Also I forgot to tell you when pastry calls for cold butter you can use the grater to grate the butter. Butter will be like slivers and makes blending easy.💕

but you should put some cherries in the current slice!... I remember when Andrew use to bring theses current slices at the workplace, I use to eat he current slice regular, he use to prepare his current slice real sweet, I miss those days.

Hi Eric, That sounds like a great idea putting the cherries in the current slices. You don't have to miss those days, buy the pastry dough from the supermarket and add your currents and cherries on the inside, it would be just like old times.
