BARBADOS TESTING & QUARANTINE PROCEDURES - Showing arrival into BGI Airport in December 2020

Greetings from sunny Barbados!
*sorry about the low volume on the speaking parts, I could not get the balance right!!*
A short video showing what to expect when travelling to Barbados during Coivd-19.
The island has a very stringent entry and test/release procedure which is required by law. As you'll see from the video, it is extremely well set-up, the UK could learn a thing or 2 from them!!!!
Hopefully this helps anyone who is travelling to Barbados anytime soon and is feeling anxious about how the airport arrival procedure and testing/quarantine is. As mentioned, please check the Barbados Government website for current rules and requirements. These were all correct at the time of filming.

I really did, Barbados is so beautiful & has such fantastic control over Covid! I’ve never had a bad holiday on the island! Can’t wait to come back!x

Wow that's pretty intensive. How quick are the private tests?

Private tests varied but the majority of guests in our hotel were around 48 hours, so a day less than the government testing option. When we travelled it was $200 for adults for a private test

Wow, really? Where are you quarantining? Has anyone said why it’s taking so long? There was me complaining about my results being a day later than expected 🙈

@@inspiredadventures5793 yeah they are acting as if it’s new , it’s been a year but they have only one lab and so much waste of time and money I shouldn’t have come if only they put clearly out there

I’m so sorry to hear that! Hopefully you’re quarantining somewhere where you can use the pool etc so you can get outside & enjoy the lovely weather! Fingers crossed you get results back soon & can get on with your holiday!

@@inspiredadventures5793 is that an option to use pool in quarantine? No they don't let me get out of the room such useless government and administration, and I do see beautiful view , but thanks for your love 💕

It was at Treasure Beach where I quarantined but I’m unsure what other hotels policies are? Hoping by the time you’re reading this that you’re free to enjoy your holiday!

Wait, I thought the covid test at the airport was free, isn't it not?

Leaving the UK it wasn’t free no, but the government option of testing when landing into Barbados was free. There is an option to pay for a fast tack test which took around 24 hours and I think was $200 at the time

At the time we had them done they were approx 72 hours but I suppose it depends how busy the testing facility/labs are at the time! Hope this helps!

Sill in quarantine day 6 staying at sugar Hills golf resort, horrible, and very rude staff, look at you, as if your a criminal, there is no welcome here in Barbados, holiday, somewhere else people

Wow that is an incredibly long time to still be in quarantine! Are you still waiting for the arrival test results?
