The first movie I ever saw this actress in was "Dracula: Prince of Darkness". A real shame. R.I.P. Barbara Shelly.

Such a hammer blow, I feel a sense of loss as Barbara Shelley was one of my very favourite all time stars. So exquisitely beautiful and talented. There are not many left from that era and these deaths are leaving such a void. Thanks for the entertainment. Abundant peace and light Ms Shelley. A beautiful actress I've seen her in count less hammer studio master pieces of films and she was so brilliantly gorgeous in them and I know for a fact that she will be miss so rest on ms. Barbara ( the beautiful ) Shelley sweetness I'll never forget you angel .

This is a very sad day. Barbara was a talented and beautiful actress I was once privileged to meet. She really loved her time at Hammer and in similar productions, and enjoyed talking to fans. A lovely lady. R.I.P.

I watched an episode of The Avengers this morning entitled " From Venus With Love". I saw Barbara in it and looked her up thinking "I wonder if she's still around". I was very sad to learn that she died yesterday ( January 4th 2021). That must be why they showed that episode today, as a tribute to her.. Georgeous Barbara Shelley RIP.

I Grew up warching so many of Her movies , Every Friday Night at MIDNIGHT. Treats ready , pillow on the floor just in case you want to lay down During the show. Hammer Films were some of the BEST. So So Sad . She was an icon in Horror, She is IRREPLACEABLE. RIP

She really was an extraordinary actress with a unique quality and also remarkably beautiful. My favourite performances of hers are in 'The Village Of The Damned', 'Dracula, Prince Of Darkness' and 'Quatermass And The Pit' but she was always totally convincing in every film and TV series I saw her in. A lady who simply oozed class.

R.I.P., Miss Shelley. Peace of mind and blessings to her loved ones and fans. From Puerto Rico, where they showed her films in the early seventies, at times when you could find horror along with entertainment. Missed times are those. January 5/2021.

I met her at a hammer horror convention in Westminster a few year’s ago where we had a little chat and she signed a book for me, she was was very polite and sweet and full of class she was collecting for a children’s charity so you could have a photo and a signature for a small fee which went straight to the charity not her or the organisers which spoke volumes about the type of lady she was

Ms. Shelley will always be one of my favorite female actors. She really could play any role and make you believe it. Her range of ability went from Shakespeare, to Bram Stoker, to Jane Austen (she played Elizabeth Bennett's aunt in P&P 1995. She will be missed and remembered fondly.

I saw FIVE MILLION YEARS TO EARTH/QUATERMASS AND THE PIT on the big screen when it came out. It blew me away. To this day it remains my all-time favorite sci-fi/horror movie. And VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED is another excellent film. R.I.P. - Barbara Shelley.
