The way the gold dress is sewn is how they used to make Barbie's fashions back in the early sixties. They closed with metal snaps or zippers and everything was finished so nicely just as the clothing was for real people. They hadn't devised cheap short cuts for dolls' clothing yet.

The quality on the accessories, the embroidery on the dress. That’s what I expect from Mattel.

Putting all the minis in the calendar with the boxes out is the perfect way to display everything, you’re brilliant!

6:25 I love the fact that on the newer repro’s and vintage style bodies, Mattel actually made the shape of the hands like the classic original ones. With the separated fingers. Those early reproductions (like the 90’s ones) they had those ugly hands which had to resemble the original hands, but the fingers were molded together. Now they look like they should! These are the details we love! This whole doll looks 100% Classic quality Mattel and I would love to own her, but I’m WAY to late! Haha! (The new doll for this year… those accessories look just sublime too!)

Traditionally, Advent is before Christmas. The 12 days of Christmas starts on Christmas day and goes on after Christmas.

She's cute, but I already have reproductions that are very similar to the base doll. I would rather have the one from this year. I like her two outfits more, and she has a darker skintone, which I have been looking for in the original face mold.
