The outfit is called a hostess dress/outfit. Barbie had one in a different color way back in the early sixties. The style of the little deer is definitely vintage 50's/60's.

😂😂😂 I busted out laughing so hard, with the teapot lid ! Oh, that's me..find something, pick it up & it flops out of my hands again. I bumped my dollhouse & my Barbie Hot Wheels car went falling & bounced some where...that was a week ago & I still can't find it ! Obviously I need to tidy up my craft room a bit. 🤣

I bought barbie model muse dolls over 15yrs ago at full price. So I only have four. But Ebay has used model muse dolls. So now I get to enjoy collecting her again. Very happy to see her again. To give her new clothes and integrity jewelry.💖😍👍

I got her for Christmas! She's beautiful; even my husband likes her! I'm with you; the green outfit is the best of the two. If you can see reruns of the I Love Lucy comedy, you will see that sometimes she wore those types of outfits. That was in the 50's so, she truly is s vintage style Barbie. I wish they had outfits like that today! Also, the original Barbie used to have holes in her feet too! I hope you're having a happy holiday season and that you have a blessed new year! If this would have been a silkstone Barbie, I would have bought it. The doll from last year's calender reminded me of the Valentine's Day Silkstone Barbie from the Holiday Hostess Collection from a few years ago. Wens je prettige feestdagen, Arjen! 😉

It's a lovely set for sure the doll is stunning, love the fashion pieces, just wish that it actually had more presents in each box, it's disappointing of Mattel to cheap out on such collector items, no more pets that we don't care much for just use the plastic for these type of dolls. Hi Arjen, this is a lovely set, but, yes, Mattel is bad about cheapening their designer sets. The reindeer is the only vintage that I see. My Mom had reindeer like this on her mantle. In the 1960's, the Rudolph song became popular, and they made stuffed reindeer, in reds and greens. I think they stuffed them with a poly batting, so children could also play with them. The hostess dress is a classic Mattel made years ago. I have a pattern, I'll try to sew one up for my girls, but doubt I would use satin, that stuff is difficult to sew. Don't let anything sharp near it, it snags and starts to unravel if you aren't careful. Doris Day wears an outfit similar in one of her movies, she was always a step ahead in her fashions. The red dress is a basic sheath that Mattel modeled after the popular dresses of the era. The shoulder pleats are a nice add, but yes, it is basic and needed beading or something extra, I mean, look what you paid for that?! The wreath, you pronounced it correctly, was put around candles for added decoration, but most of us don't do that, we hang them on the wall. It has way too little detail for what they charged you. Look up, Myfroggystuff. com, she shows how she makes candles for dolls out of hot glue sticks, and thread, and she makes wreaths and Christmas trees from garland, or paper, and it's nicer than Mattels. I do love how you show us every detail in these lovely sets and we who can't afford them, enjoy them vicariously.

I will say I have both and holding both at the same time they feel pretty equal in weight so I don’t think the new one is of lesser quality that the original. Honestly it might be her hair having her hair done up in that do means they can probably root less into the head and that legit might have an effect on the weight. Idk I lm probably talking out of my ass 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 we also do have Advent but if I’m not mistaken it’s a specifically catholic observation. I could be wrong about that too but I went to catholic school growing up and Advent was a THING every year!
