this video is basically me taking the videos that made me squirm or laugh out loud and making them weirder. (i tried some new editing this time, so enjoy that)
for some reason the male actors in the barbie movies have really strange voices...idek. they obviously spent more time developing barbie than the other characters.

I think because CGI tech was in development in the early 2000’s. Not to mention most of us were young and were more interested in the story and the merchandise that were released for the movies. Before we realised most of the stories were retellings of stories or ballets.

@@goodcompany759 I can't believe you haven't heard the original story "swan lake". It is a legendary tale by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, who also made the classic swan lake theme. He wrote "the nutcracker" and "the sleeping beauty" too. Every ballet company makes the dancers perform all the ballet scenes from these plays every season. In fact, playing the role of Odette/Odile is a stand out in a ballerina's resume. The same dancer plays both these very contrasting roles, which makes the feat very demanding. Odette aka the white swan is tender and delicate while Odile, the black Swan is sultry, sensual and seductive. I would suggest you look up the story on the Internet. I can't type the entire thing. The original is much darker than the Barbie renditions. Odile successfully seduces Prince Siegfried and Odette commits suicide in the end.

I know about the Cinderella's original, for example, where Cinderella's sisters cut off parts of their feet to fit her shoe. Also, the witch from Snow White, that is punished for what she did by being forced to dance until death with incandescent iron shoes. (Sorry for my English, it's a bit rusty 😅)

oh 100%. the newer barbie movies are full of cringe humor (i mean it’s just different humor from what we grew up with but it’s still a factor), is more annoying, and an eye sore. pretty sure i’m missing a few things too. every barbie movie after 2013 is trash, some people may argue that it’s a lot lower like 2010 or something but barbie in the pink shoes (2013) i really enjoyed a lot, but everything after i didn’t. i also just wanna say i’m being pretty bias in that bc i grew up with those movies so i’m bing rlly harsh lol
