I'd recommend something from her hugely successful album "Guilty" with Barry Gibb. "Woman In Love", "Make It Like A Memory", the title track "Guilty" (duet with Barry). Her catalogue includes Broadway (like this song from "Cats"), standards, MOR pop, disco, rock, dashes of country, classical, etc. Only artist with #1 albums in 6 consecutive decades. A once in a lifetime voice.

I love her. She is so quintessential New York. It is a Stephen Sondheim legendary song from Cats. I love her as an actress, movie star, too. My personal favorites are the comedy What's Up Doc, and the dramas, The Mirror Has Two Faces, and Yentl! A Star is Born, with Christopher Christophersen. My favorite album, The Broadway Album. "Memory" is not by Sondheim; it is a song by Andrew Lloyd Webber, TS Eliot, and Trevor Nunn. The recording was released in November 1981. An aria of despair, anguish, and a gleam of optimism.

Broadway play and recently movie Cats song written by Stephen Sondheim older cat remembering her life with this information formation character storytelling makes song to me more meaningful. I remember that Sondheim wrote song for Streisand to sing.

Cats was an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. Not Sondheim. There is a “Memory” joke here, but I’m going to leave it be. 😅
