Ramin carried Streisand in this performance; she was a little bit shaky in some areas which is unusual for her. Of course, with her age it is still a fantastic performance. Thank you very much for sharing.

I guess at almost 80 you won't sound like you're 30 any longer. No one could come close to her at his age.

@@scotthamp384 The reason I think he won't is because the show has changed a lot and the US version was like a new one totally different from the London production.

Just had a proper good listen to this. Yes Barbra makes small mistakes but recovers well. Ramin also was singing it the way he did as Phantom rather than following the way that Michael Crawford sang this version with Barbra on Duets (take a listen, it’s quite different, slower and lower). But I love it all the same... Getting two great artists together to rehearse is usually quite rare, so they did an excellent job considering.

@@margarethornall5760 Her technique is great here--better than his. She had her goofs, but her impeccable technique is still on display.

He has a great voice, but I guess when he can sell out Hyde Park on his own, he'll have to be invited.

Poor Ramin, he did really well but Streisand got the words wrong and completely changed the tempo of the song. Should have left him to sing it on his own. He is stunning at performing this usually.

At 1.20 she comes in at the wrong time and the wrong lyrics but stops as Ramin continues.

@@scotthamp384 I LOVE Babs, I also have performed this duet numerous times and yes, Babs messed up lyrics, missed her timing and changed her harmonies because she can't be consistent like she was 30 yrs ago. Go listen to her recording of this with Michael Crawford, she is stunning. I wish that 90's Babs performed with Ramin, who is a much better Phantom. That said, at her age...wow Babs!!!

At about 1.20 on this vid Babs wrongly comes in on the song - as she did on at least 4 songs last night including 'Don't Rain on my Parade' - which she openly apologised to the audience for "botching up." Did she even rehearse? Sad to see this genius talent in decline.

What we are missing in the pre recorded lip synced days is that performers do go wrong when they sing live....and the backing track can't cover up this - but I think that makes the difference between seeing a live concert and listening to a pre recorded event...

Streisand performed for a long time and included a vast collection of songs. She was a real trooper for taking on this outdoor gig. For someone who does not like to sing live she did a very commendable job. Maybe the voice does not have the power it once had but her interpretations and style is as potent as ever. Hope we are all in as good shape when we are 77. She gets an A+ for effort in my book... plus she seems to be enjoying herself this time around.

Don't get me wrong, I love Barbra and I was there, but it's wasn't the most rehearsed show on earth. She event told that herself. She didn't rehearse several numbers. Wish she had played safe and did songs like You don't bring me flowers or On a clear day instead of impromptu duets with Ramin and Lionel, which sounded tentative. She still has the magic though. And that will never Change.

Because this is the version that Barbra has previously recorded with Michael Crawford who was originally meant to duet with her last night.

Barbra S. sounded way off and her timing was terrible. Ramin was perfect as usual. She should have rehearsed more.....she kept trying to take the lead, but her voice is not as clear or powerful than Ramin's. She was terrible.

She is pushing 80, of course she can't sing like she used to, she was untouchable at his age.
