Aufgewachsen in der DDR noch mit Live-Musik, bevor die Discozeit begann, gab es eine Band Simple Song aus Dresden, die den Abend immer mit diesem Song begann und beendete. Absolut 👍🏻

Likewise.... I have been listening since their conception and that's a long time ago.... Unlike many bands from their era that I liked none reached the depth that B.J.H. did and stood the test of time... I have many favourites but Galadriel remains my no. 1

Heutige Musiker wären zu so einem musikalischen Urknall gar nicht mehr fähig. Von den 60rrn bis in die frühen 90er Jahren erlebte die Musikwelt ihren Höhepunkt. Das war's dann!

Die 50er sollten noch dazugenommen werden, da haben sie auch tolle Musik gemacht, der Blues/R&B/Country/Rockabilly jener Zeit war der Startschuss für all die tolle Musik der darauffolgenden Jahrzehnte. Ansonsten voll einverstanden. Es ist nicht so, dass heutige Musik grundsätzlich immer unhörbar ist, es gibt im Untergrund schon noch tolle Bands, aber das Mainstream-Publikum, also die Masse, hat jeden musikalischen Geschmack verloren. Das war früher anders, da haben viele der erfolgreichen Bands und Musiker eben auch musikalische Klasse aufgewiesen. Man braucht nur ein paar Titel aus den aktuellen Charts anzuhören, dann weiss man Bescheid. Natürlich, nichts bleibt für ewig, die Zeiten ändern sich, aber irgendwas ist mit den Hirnströmen der Leuten passiert (Mind Control?). Mir waren die Zeiten damals (die ich als Teenager erlebt habe), als die Leute Bands wie BJH und Songs wie "Hymn" gelauscht haben, jedenfalls 1000mal lieber als die Gegenwart mit dieser Rap-Musik. Die Unterschiede von damals zu heute merkt auf Schritt und Tritt, wenn man mit klarem, unbestechlichem Blick auf unsere Gesellschaft guckt und der veränderte Musikgeschmack ist ein Indiz dafür, dass wir heute bestimmt nicht in besseren Verhältnissen leben als beispielsweise Ende der 70er...........meiner Meinung nach.

It must be a tremendous feeling to create some music and play it and make it jell together in front of a supportive crowd. Every band member is a key part of it to make it happen, play the right note at the right time, sing the right harmonies, hit the drum on the right bar. Live music's always had something magical to me, a chemistry of ingredients to make the whole thing work

Ich bin vor über 25 Jahren mit einem Girl zusammen gekommen. waren dann bei MediMarkt und haben ein wenig über Musik gesprochen und ich hab dann mal was von BJH in den Player reingetan, sie war voll weg, kannte sie gar nicht. Ich selbst bin auf BJH auf einem Schulausflug gestoßen, da war ich so 13 oder so, also mitte der 70er, jetzt bin ich 58. Habe alle LPs mittlerweile. Die Band hat mich da nie mehr losgelassen. Und niemand darf an meine LP Sammlung ran, schon gar nicht von der Gruppe. Hehe

Je ne connaissais pas BJH qu'un copain m'a fait découvrir. Je suis allé les voir à Reims et à Nancy. Hymn est de loin le meilleurs morceau !!!

ils ne sont venus que 2 fois a Nancy quand ils étaient encore ensemble. Une fois à leurs débuts salle POIREL et une fois au parc des expositions au début des années 1980 . (81 ,82) J'étais au parc des expos.

Although I am English, I was only introduced to BJH while living in France in 1982. I love all the songs on the "Berlin - a concert for the people" album, but perhaps this one most of all.
