AT 429lbs, Tony Sander’s weight had spiralled out of control. The 43-year-old of Lawrence, Kansas, received a massive wake-up call following a car accident, when doctors said they could not operate on him. They told him that due to his weight, he was at too high a risk to undergo reconstructive surgery. During his career in the automotive industry, Tony realised he had been comfort consuming donuts, pizza and other unhealthy food in an attempt to eat his stress away. In 2017, Tony decided to tackle his food and alcohol addiction and, through diet and a strict exercise program, lost an amazing 210lbs. Now, Tony views food as fuel to get him through his mega workouts. Tony told Truly: “Food for me was a source of relief, it was a way to release whatever stresses and everything else that was going on in my life.”

Love his advice, "Just start today". You don't need to have some great plan. Just do it.
@jaredpatterson1701
@jaredpatterson1701 3 жыл бұрын
Actually you do need a sustainable plan because at some point you will begin to feel burnt out and that plan will allow for you room to both keep your sanity and not spiral out of control binging and undoing all your hard work. I recognized this myself after going from 333 to 192 (75 in one year) and then regaining some back due to overlooking factors like work which added stress that my plan didn't account for.

Idk. I disagree. If you wait around for you to feel like it, or wait until you're there mentally, you'll never do it. Your feelings follow your actions. You start doing well before you're mind has changed. Your mind follows your actions. Thats the reality

@@rubenfernandes7911 When I started, I ate 1,800 calories, which was definitely too little. I changed it to 2000 after a month. but food alone is not enough. you need to exercise more. At the beginning, I recommend walking outdoors or on a treadmill 10k+ steps a day, which is how I started. When I lost weight to 100 kg, I started exercising with dumbbells and resistance bands. and remember, in order not to go crazy on the diet, spend 15 to 20 percent of your caloric intake on something that gives you pleasure, for example a candy bar or chips - it helps in changing your eating habits. and replace drinks with sugar with sugar free ones, I recommend Coca-Cola Diet/Zero or what you like but sugar free!!. and when it comes to food, don't look at ready-made diets, eat what you like, count calories!!! I did that and that was my success - no fatigue, just positive attitude. because if you really want it, you can do it like me.

Truly motivating! I woke up about 9 weeks ago and decided I had finally had enough of being overweight and unhealthy. I never liked weighing myself because it was humiliating, so I hadn't done it in years. I finally checked and of course the scale couldn't weigh me. I ordered a special scale that went up to like 500lbs and found out that I weighed 412lbs. I am in the process of changing my life - so far I weigh about 369lbs. Still got a ton of weight to lose but I am happy with my progress and rate of loss so far. I sometimes find it difficult to keep exercising and dieting and when I do I watch these types of videos on youtube. So with the absolute sincerity, Thank you so much for posting your story - You help keep and track and honestly save my life.

I agree. This was a courageous thing to do. To admit that there were much deeper issues than simply poor eating habits, is hard to do. In my situation, I would love to simplify things by thinking that my weight issues were caused by my lack of physical activity, eating the wrong foods and a major move from a small, rural town to a much larger city. When I was, finally, ready to face the primary contributor to why I turned to food for comfort, it was a painful process that involved my Mother. After asking questions, and listening carefully, it turned out that my Mother got blamed for things, they were mostly my Father's fault. She chose not to bad mouth my Father when they divorced. Now that I know the truth, I am ready to move on with my life, starting with a lifestyle change. I have set major goals that involve improving my health, eating good food and losing weight. I am much happier now and so glad to start my travels on the road to a real life.

Please pray for me, I’m currently 5’1, my weight is 237 lbs, and am looking to gain 980lbs by the end of next summer. I’m planning on eating 20,000 calories through out the day 20,000 calories before going to sleep and sit in front of the t.v all day and try not to move, other than to get up and grab something to eat. I decided to not shower anymore bc showering will probably cause too much calories to burn. My diet will consist of an array of chocolate bars for breakfast 20 pankcakes, 10 McDonald’s triple cheese hamburgers, a large pepperoni pizza, 5 packs of hot pockets 20 eggs, a pound of sausage a pound of bacon a 15 waffles, and 10 1 gallon bottles of soda pop, for lunch I will have 20 Wendy’s hamburgers, 15 triple cheese burgers from McDonald’s 18 double whoppers from Burger King 20 10 for 10 value meals from Taco Bell 12 subway sandwiches from subway sandwiches, 2 packs of microwave burritos, 2large Pan pizzas from Pizza Hut, and 18 chili cheese hot dogs from wienerschnizzel, and a few carne asada burritos from the taco shop. From dinner I will eat a dozen dozen boxes of donuts, more candy bars, a tub of I can’t believe it’s not butter, a stick of salted butter, canola oil, cake, ice cream, a box of cheese it’s, a can of icing, 5 12 packs of Pepsi, and I’m going to go directly to sleep after dinner and wake up for a midnight snack. I’m looking forward to my new life at 980lbs. I can’t wait.

Also, I know that they are getting 'paid' to do their jobs, but, watching all of these Brand New Me episodes, I've recently had a newfound appreciation for personal trainers. It's like, when a person starts to believe in themselves, the personal trainer is there to take you all the way if you let them. I imagine they are like the person who believes in you in the moments when you're finding it difficult to believe in yourself. And it seems that some of them end up being way more than just a personal trainer; Keith for example - dude is a true guardian angel.

I went from a womens sz 22 to my current sz 14 :) The key is not beat yourself up, so what you messed up one day, there is always tomorrow, you mess up tomorrow, so what, there is always tomorrow. It works! Usually I find this kind of transformation videos a bit too cheesy. With the mega dramatic music and overplayed motivation speech.. But this one is nice. I like the way the guy is talking. Very intelligent and down to earth. Thumbs up.

I also have been walking 3-7 miles a day. I'm pretty inspired by you I was 367lbs. I am now 325lbs and dropping lol. My goal is 170-200lbs. Thank you for sharing.
