There was a time where families got up, made breakfast together, and sat down as a family together. Nowadays, dad goes and workouts, mom gets the kid up, dad feeds kid, mom goes and does her thing. Wow awesome perspective of an ideal marriage and life. LOL........Duded seems really type A like if he doesn't have his morning routine and nuances daily he'll melt down and rage! LOL.

@@nickwojtow6787 yeah back then you could take it slower, like literally 50% output (one person worked, one person stayed at home). Now you have no choice but to optimise your time like this. Nick, Thank you for all the videos and all this wonderful information. You'll probably never even see this but here it goes any ways. I am brand new to this "hybrid athlete" training and I have to say, I absolutely love it. You have been such a great tool for me to get started and I use A LOT of your information in my own training. I was a fat old veteran at 341 lbs when I started in the summer. I couldn't even run because it hurt my knees and back too much. Now I'm down to 274 lbs and I run 5 miles almost every single day. I watch a lot of your KZfaq stuff just so I can get insight to how I can incorporate this hybrid training into my own training and new lifestyle. Right now I'm currently at a sub 10 mile and I am trying to improve that sub 10 by utilizing some zone 2 training. I also lift M-F. I lift in the mornings and run late afternoon. It's what works with my schedule the best. I'm also big on calories and my macros, I know your not a huge macro chaser but, since I am trying to lose fat and build muscle in a calorie deficit I find it very important that I am tracking my intake. I'm currently eating about 2600 cals a day and burning about 32/3700 a day, according to google fit. I try to eat 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% healthy fats. I ensure that I eat ZERO sugar and I do not waste calories on junk. Every time I'm in the gym I am always going one more. One more rep, on more set. And I will continue to go one more when it comes to my running. Next week I will add 1 more mile to all my runs and will keep doing so until I can hit that 10 mile mark. My goal is to run a half marathon next year at a sub 10 mile. Thank you for all the information and inspiration in your videos! Keep going one more and I will do the same. Thank you! -Will Vaughn

Man I am so dang happy that I found this channel! You are Amazing proof that you can run long and fast and still have muscle and not look like a spaghetti noodle. Thank you so much for this validation! I am an ex 5k to marathon race runner and as much as I loved running, I stopped running after only 5 years of running because I was tired of having that skinny frail runner's look. My last run was in 2001 at the Boston Marathon. 2hr 45 mins was my time. It was only my 5th marathon. A lot has happened since then of course. In 2013 I started Calisthenics and have been doing that since, and just last week something hit me out of nowhere and i decided to test my 1 mile time. Surprisingly i ran the 1st mile in 7.33 and was so hyped that I went out for another mile and I made that in 7.33mins as well. The running bug has definitely entered my bloodstream and now I am on a new journey that only time will tell. I went to the track today after 3 days of running the 7.33 mile and it has been 24 years since i last set foot on a track. I ran 7.10 the 1st mile and after a short rest I tried another mile with hopes of making it under 7 mins, but i was running in water shoes, lol. bad idea cause it has no real shock absorption and my left calf began to hurt really bad and so i only made it to 1200 meters in 5.30min ( i was going to make it under 7mins with a hard 400m under 1.30 mins), well.. I will be back again soon. I ordered new Saucony flats/running shoes today. My plan is to keep my weight and continue my calisthenics as well as some running just like you. I don't know if i will go the long distance ever again, but i have learned to never say never again. Right now my goal is to get 5k race ready. Thank you again for this channel and Inspiration. You are the man bro!

Nice work Nick. You've inspired me to do some vids of my morning routine 👍I'm older (62) but fit and strong and my routine is 'similar' to yours but focuses more on supps and protein first thing then gym workouts mixed with stretching. I also like the early mornings. Never used to but now I am a true fan. Private time, no phones or other "to do's" just me time to get my stuff done. And by 7.30 I'm done - fuelled, trained and focussed.

Creating a schedule and tag teamming is so important as parents of young children. I am not a morning person, but lunch time works best for me and helps reenergize me for the rest of the day. Other fitness tips, I would say is to have a treadmill or bike trainer in front of your tv. You do not have to be a super athlete, but walking for 30 minutes to an hour while watching a game or your favorite tv show helps so much with fitness.

@@MStar10 - Pray it all goes well! Some items are that I have focused on getting up early for runs or running later (after bedtimes). Also, for my shorter/easy runs I stack a 30-45 minute high intensity lift after the run. Lastly, being flexible is something I learned early, I accept that my long run may get pushed from Saturday to Sunday depending on the family’s needs/desires. Hope that helps a bit. Blessings! PS: I am blessed with a full hour for lunch and gym at work. So any opportunity I get I try to squeeze in a run on the tread, a stationary bike ride, or quick lift. Look for those opportunities if you can. 😊
